Ibrutinib and Prednisolone
The GP is concerned whether the Prednisolone is OK to take with the
Ibrutinib
I have been on for the past 6 years. He is quite keen for me to start taking the Pred from today, but I haven't been able to raise anyone at my hospital in Bournemouth. Anyone now if this is OK? , the dose is 40mg.

Potential cure for CLL
They are looking at the venetoclax and
ibrutinib
as a combined therapy. The Clarity trial took 50 patients, some in the final stages of the disease and mutations. They had a 100% response with 30% showing undetectable CLL in six months of treatment.

As a CLL patient I am now going to start
Ibrutinib
next week & have been told I will be prescribed Aciclovir as well. I was prescribed this short term when I had chemo but have never had shingles.

How many of us develop large b cell lymphomas
other nodes disappeared within weeks on
ibrutinib
but my abdomen has never gone back to normal I feel fine and have 3 monthly bloods which as I say are perfect but I have not had a scan since treatment begun so I suppose there is always doubt in my mind.

How can I get acalabrutinib?
I am wary of
Ibrutinib
because I have borderline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (concerned about Afib). Some of you have tales about getting acalabrutinib offline and getting insurance to approve it.

Has anyone been on the combination therapy of Venetoclax, Ibrutinib and Obinutuzumab?
He says he’ll switch me to
Ibrutinib
if I do not respond to Venetoclax. From the research it seems that combinations are the best way to go and my Haematologist agrees. So I would like to try being on a combination of all three of these drugs.

Thank God for great doctors & MD Anderson
My sweet wife just had her checkup here in Houston after being on
Ibrutinib
and Venetoclax for 12 months. SHE IS CANCER FREE! They will keep her on the protocol for one more year & we will continue to come out here every 3 months for checkups. There is hope & God is good.

Need your help on out of pocket cost for treatment plus to say hi to everyone
In preparation for future treatment, I am trying to prepare for the financial burden if I am to go on
Ibrutinib
. I have BCBS standard option, the federal plan. I Called BCBS and the providers and no one could tell me what would the out of pocket cost be once I start treatment??

Fingers Crossed
If in the future I require more treatment, I would then qualify for the second line treatment
Ibrutinib
. I’m pretty happy today.

Ibrutinib/Imbruvica and Fatigue: How strong is the connection?
Have been on
Ibrutinib
for the last 4 years ( 2 capsules/day ) and it has brought all significant blood levels into normal or almost normal range. Have tried going-off
ibrutinib
for a month about six months ago but at that time, this did not seem to make much difference in terms of the fatigue.

Ibrutinib. To take or not?
Another 3 years have passed & I need more treatment and my specialist wants me to take
Ibrutinib
. I’m 72 now, fit & travel a lot. I do not like the idea of a permanent pill & the possibility of side effects so I would be interested to hear from other people on the drug. Thanks

As I live longer with my CLL and have more tales to tell- diagnosis, life threatening ITP, failed transplant, Phase 1 trial of
Ibrutinib
, relapse and CAR-T, it gets harder to fit it all that I have learned into the allotted time. It is a good problem to have!
