After one year on Ibrutinib, BEST NEWS EVER!!
He has been on
Ibrutinib
for a year now, and after a CT scan last week and lab work today, his doctor said he was in REMISSION!! All labs were in the normal range, and his lymph nodes in his neck, stomach and lower abdomen had returned to a normal size.

Ibrutinib / Venetoclax journey
So, a quick update from me. Went for a checkup yesterday (Friday). Consultant pleased with status, Lymphocytes have reached the lofty heights of 1.1. The reading has moved around the 0.7-1.0 since start of treatment. This was only a ‘normal’ checkup. Back in July for my checkup in the research dept

Cells dying in the retina
(
ibrutinib
) I hope this is correct, this text, cuz I have to hold a lighted magnifying glass over the letters to see. That’s how bad it’s gotten over 2 months😔. Thank you If the
Ibrutinib
keeps me stable , what other drug would maybe do the same?

Now Hodgkin Lymphoma
Lymphoma was just waiting to get out and perhaps the
ibrutinib
was keeping it in. Also wonder If Richter’s Transformation phenomenon is at work here. One if the tumours is on the back of vetebra T9. But no pain or effect on spinal nerves as yet.

Update on ibrutinib treatment
Had my end of cycle 6
ibrutinib
monotherapy appointment this week at MAYO Florida. MRD test shows CLL present at 0.27%, down from 0.50% 3 months ago.
Ibrutinib
is doing it's job - all blood counts are normal. Hope others on
ibrutinib
are doing as well.

Ibrutinib and funding in Ontario
Can someone please clear up an issue with
IBRUTINIB
funding in Ontario I was under the impression it is now funded for front line treatment naive patients who meet several criteria one of which is unmutated IgVH.

Is La Croix grapefruit essenced water safe with Ibrutinib?
We found this grapefruit “essenced” beverage on sale and bought it. The ingredients list says it is 100% water that has been essenced with fruit flavors. The company website information is rather vague.

FCR versus Ibrutinib
Since then I have been reading about
Ibrutinib
, and I am wondering if this might be a better alternative than FCR.

Feet Falling Asleep
Hi, I’m 52 year old female, was diagnosed with CLL about 2 years ago and have been on 420 units daily of
Ibrutinib
for almost a year. I have experienced some side effects, but nothing that was anything other than annoying.

Explainer: what’s actually in our blood?
mutated-unmuated.blogspot.com/2011/03/leukostasis-and-thrombosis-in-cll.html Contrast that with the normal white blood cell count of between 4,000 and 11,000 (4 to 11 for some of us with a different reference volume) and you can appreciate that even with counts that some of us get to on watch and wait, or after we start
