I have a lot to get off my chest.
I have never had a life which was unbearable or soul shattering, but it wasn't easy either. My mother and father were in one of those relationships where they loved and hated each other, and that all came to a head when they separated. i was around seven at the time (i don't remember the exact age so

Nobody Understands
Been suffering in silence dealing with mental illness for years & now at the age of 23, I finally reached out & got real help. I’m now in a respite as a result & my few friends that I have are supportive but they still don’t understand. They tell me to keep a positive outlook but it’s difficult for me

I take prozac, abilify, and now propranolol. My appetite seems out of control and I've gained weight. Does anyone else have weight gain issues? How do you cope?

Hello everyone! I’m so glad I found this site. I have taken celexa for the past 4 months end it has been a disaster. I developed bipolar disorder while on it and I’m not bipolar. I had more anxiety and more obsessions on this drug, it was and still is horrible! I gradually raised my dose to 25mg that

Greetings and an Introduction
I’m brand new to this site. I’ve always dealt with generalized anxiety and depression. A couple months ago, though, I’ve started getting panic attacks. They have gotten so bad that I am nearly agoraphobic. (Luckily I work from home.) I have an amazing husband but I worry that I am too much of a burden

Lost
I feel so lost in life. I have major depressive disorder, anxiety and bipolar disorder. I'm taking medication and seeing a psychiatrist. I'm searching for a therapist to try. I feel hopeless and desperate. I have a supportive husband but nobody understands what it's like to be me. People just give me

Seroquel Question
Hello all, Throughout my journey of living with mental illness, I have taken many medications which have been prescribed to be (starting 10 years back when I was diagnosed with Anorexia, anxiety, OCD, and depression). Depressed and in pain
New to the community. First post. I'm sitting at my desk at work, trying to wait out the day. I have work to do, of course, but I cannot do it. I know that you can't will yourself out of depression. I am trying to make as many good choices as I can. I made myself eat breakfast. I've been working out.

Medication concerns
I probably need medication to ease symptoms of depression and anxiety, but I have questions before I take that step. Will medication improve my quality of life? Can I diet successfully while taking medication? I am trying to lose weight that I have gained while depressed (about 75 pounds, unfortunately

So hey many of you might know I post on here a lot. I suffer from IBS, anxiety and low moods (idk doc says depression but I don’t think it is) In a few weeks I’m finishing college. College has been one of the worst experiences of my life, my anxiety got worse and so did my moods and self harm. So I’

Invasive and non‐invasive brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease: Clinical effects and future perspectives
Deep brain stimulation (DBS) can improve motor symptoms in moderate to advanced PD. However, the optimal stimulation paradigm for non‐motor symptoms, freezing of gait and the optimal timing of DBS are still under investigations. The findings of pathological oscillations and abnormal frequency to amplitude

Lunch
I basically thought my lunch was quite photogenic today, so here you go! Onion, pepper, chicken breast, a baking potato, mushrooms, green beans and a little chorizo stir fried in some lemon and garlic oil, and drizzled with balsamic vinegar for the last minute of cooking (served 2).

Update on today's events.
Managed to keep my anxiety under control, but got some news from the doctor that came to see my mother in law. On a while new stress level now. The doctor is suggesting I look into getting her in hospice care. She said it doesn't mean end of life just more options for her medically. I know this, but

New here
I just found this site. I've always known that I'm not alone in this battle, but to see/read others' stories is comforting. I've been medicated for depression for 25+ years. I was a prisoner of Paxil for most of that time. I've been off of it for about 8 months and realize now that, while it helped
