normal TSH help.
I am about to go to the doctors in an hour to speak about some blood tests I had done last week. To me the results are on the higher side. From what I’m reading most doctors don’t like to do antibody tests and t3 and t4. How can I persuade them to do these just to check my levels? I had lots of other

Success with GP - for now
Just had an appointment with my GP and after lots of persuasion and me quoting NICE guidelines at him, he's agreed to reinstate my previous daily 100mcg Levo. 🥳This does come with the condition of reassessing in 6-8 weeks after bloods done. (I'll cross that bridge when I get there) I got the usual

Inflammatory Arthritis with Levothyroxine
Has anyone else had severe pains in their tendons and muscles due to Levothyroxine? 18 years ago I had an ESR blood test at my G.P.'s surgery as I had severe pains on Levothyroxine, this proved I had Inflammatory Arthritis, so I bought Armour Thyroid from the US as the only alternative at that time.

Normal TSH, but High FT4?
Hi everyone, Despite two endocrinologists confirming my thyroid is 'normal', I'm experiencing symptoms of an overactive thyroid like sweating, anxiety, and weight issues. My recent blood tests show a TSH of 1.58 mIU/L (optimal) but an FT4 of 24.4 pmol/L, which the lab deems high. I've heard that reference

Morning cortisol test results have arrived.
For background I should say that I finished with prednisolone at the end of January this year. I’ve had no return of PMR symptoms but have been irritable and tired with my ‘get up and go’ non-existent 😠. I saw my rheumatologist a month ago and she requested a morning cortisol test along with my usual

So my sister has just found that she has haemochromatosis...
I've nagged her to follow up on her high ferritin results for the last year or so, though GP seemed disinterested with it above 700 so I sent her to give blood which bought it down to 400. Since then we have successfully got her GP to acknowledge her Hypothyroidism and prescribe T4 and I got her to

ABNORMAL TSH BLOOD RESULT
I had a blood test on 5 April and the TSH result was 7.10 and the T4 result 13.6. I queried it with my GP who said there is nothing to worry about and that it is the T4 reading which matters. I am to have a retest in July. Am I worrying unnecessarily ? Thank you.

Help with blood test results, please.
I was diagnosed with B12 Deficiency with Pernicious Anemia in 2018. I was given the six loading doses and injections every 12 weeks. After about two years I was able to get them changed to every 8 weeks. Although that did seem to help I am still not feeling myself. I keep track of all of my blood

Here again for some knowledge and benefit from your wisdom. In February I was told that I have a number of heart conditions. One is two partially blocked arteries. I am waiting for an Angiogram and stents if needed, semi urgent. I go to Europe the end of this month so no chance of getting in until July

Low hcg detection
Hi lovely people. I did my pregnancy blood test with my clinic on the 12day and got positive, but my clinic said although it is positive, that the hcg is 38 and they said it is low. So they booked me in for a second test on 14day which is today to see if the hcg will double up, and I just did that

Blood cancer - myleodysplasia
Does anyone else have myleodysplasia, and do you get any symptoms. My red blood cells are larger than normal and was told by Neuro Surgeon to have six monthly blood tests to ensure white blood cells did not become infected. I have no symptoms myself but wondered how many others have this condition.Sallywag

T4/T3 Combi Overmedicated Help Please
I posted yesterday about my recent feelings of overmedication but didnt get many replies. Its just symptoms, not blood tests, but had palpitations, fatigue, fast heart beat, shortness of breath. Was on 150mcg Levo and 12.5 T3 daily. Also added daily selenium which might have complicated things. Cut
