First referral to ENT

Research in Hampshire area
I am just wondering if there is any research taking place which I could join in with? I would be interested in seeing what difficulties are encountered with Hearing tests by like minded individuals with Tinnitus . Has a Survey been done on this topic and if so, what was the outcome? I will welcome comments

Professor Graham Hughes Blog: April 2018
She was treated with
heparin
and then warfarin. A year later, she remains very well on long-term warfarin, and plaquenil for the aches and pains. The headaches have disappeared.
What is this patient teaching up?

Dream run has had a hiccup.
After a wait of several hours I was allowed a shot of
heparin
after telling them if I had a PE or stroke it would be on their heads. (Pain killers still working at this stage, so I could fight!)

Tinnitus & Hearing Tests

Early Days but here’s hoping. . . .
Finally had my appointment today with NHS Audiologist and my hearing test showed a slight deterioration from my last test 6/7 years ago. I was provided with 2 hearing aids with masking sounds downloaded into them and I opted for white noise over pink noise. Both aids were fitted and I’ve worn them since

CTI Ablation getting close now
EP doesn’t know what he will find until he gets in there and knowing how complicated I am I have posed quite a problem with the fact that I’m allergic to
heparin
apparently they fill you with the stuff not good for me though I’m allergic to aspirin too and morphine doesn’t Suit me either.

Lupus (SLE) & anti-phospholipid antibodies - unexpected pregnancy and very worried if I'll be well enough
Also, I saw my rheumatologist last week and she agreed I need to be urgently on
heparin
injections but I have to wait until I go to the high risk combined clinic with a specialist obstetrician and a lupus consultant who specialises in lupus in pregnancy, which is in 4 weeks time.

Ablation yesterday! So far, so good.....
This came back clear and the consensus is that the combination of
heparin
and rivaroxaban during the procedure was the root cause. Prescribed ranitidine to soothe stomach acid and, hopefully, settle the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hybrid Ablation - second time lucky
Four weeks later, after going in to hospital 2 days before the op to have a
heparin
infusion, the second operation was successful. Wonderful surgical team at Derriford - couldn't ask for a more professional treatment.

Hearing issues
Hi folks Recently got back into work 8 months ago and I noticed a huge difference in my hearing especially when other noise is going on... I can’t hear anything as it all scrambled together. Not good when in an office and taking calls and talking to customers. I went for a hearing test and discovered

Audiology Hearing Tests
I just called my Audiology department in local hospital for an appointment as my tinnitus is getting louder now. Also asked about hearing aids with masks fitted to help ease the sounds of tinnitus. I’ve been told that there is a 6 or 7 week waiting list which I’ve now been added to. They don’t yet have

Hearing tests
Hi,I'm a newbie here,,I have suffered with tinnitus in one ear for 14 years. I went to audiology for another hearing test yesterday after my hearing seemed to have deteriated. I was told that my hearing had worsened, but interestingly, the first I had 3 years ago was as bad as the one I had yesterday

They took the pro-active (and brave) decision with Mrs D.S. and her husband to add in a trial of low molecular
heparin
. Within one cycle, Mrs D.S. became pregnant. She maintained on both aspirin and
heparin
throughout a successful pregnancy. What is this patient teaching us?

Hello...I'm a newbie here. Seeking Tinnitus help.
Hello all. I found your site after doing a search for Tinnitus on the NRAS page for Rheumatoid Arthritis/Rheumatoid Disease. I have had Tinnitus since December 2017/January 2018. I am seeing an ENT, but have only had one appointment so far. I am scheduled for a hearing test at my next appointment.
