Heparin for APs?
The consultant and I have been discussing
heparin
trial to see if this alleviates my headache, blurred vision and dizziness. May I ask though, why is
heparin
prescribes less often than warfarin?

Any thoughts on AFib (+clots) and blood thinners?
So i’m on daily
heparin
(tinzaparin) injections. I’m 35, and I was told i might have to stay on the blood thinners for life. I really don’t want that.

Recent Studies About Exercise, Mushrooms and Prostate Cancer and Not So Recent About Fat In Blood Feeding Cancer
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/06/160602083554.htm The above article mentions
Heparin
used in a study. Would this explain why those taking aspirin, ginger, curcumin and garlic have fewer metastases?

Trying for baby with APS
Are they likely to put me on aspirin and
heparin
before conceiving again or wait until I’m pregnant? Doctors are so busy no opportunities to just go in and chat! I will have to either wait for results or get pregnant again before deemed viable to waste doctors time. So I haven’t that option.

Add Transfer Factor after 30 days of

for another 2 months, just in case.

Sudden loss of smell as a possible symptom of COVID-19, coagulopathy and antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with COVID-19
The presence of these antibodies may rarely lead to thrombotic events that are difficult to differentiate from other causes of multifocal thrombosis in critically patients, such as disseminated intravascular coagulation,
heparin
-induced thrombocytopenia, and thrombotic microangiopathy.”

CLL and Hearing loss
I am 65 yo male. W&W. First diagnosed in Jan 2019. My hearing loss has accelerated in the past year and I don't think it's just because I'm getting older. I've done two hearing tests in the past 6 months. The most recent suggested a "catastrophic" loss of hearing in my right ear for no apparent reason

Nowadays, because of potentially recurrent thrombosis and the hypercoagulability scenario, there is consensus in treating APS patients with long-term oral anticoagulants and, in order to prevent obstetric manifestations, with a combination of low dose aspirin and low molecular weight

Hearing loss after meningitis - ANSD?
With hearing loss being a common after effect of meningitis, I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this before, as our doctors are scratching their heads. My son, who is now four, had Pneumococcal Meningitis at 14months, and thankfully has come out with just some minor emotional/behavioural issues and

Sudden hearing loss and RA
Hi. Has anybody ever had SSNHL (sudden sensorineural hearing loss)? I woke up last week completely deaf in 1 ear. I got an emergency ENT appointment and had various hearing tests and given the above diagnosis. It is quite rare and the cause is often never found. If not caught early it can be permanent

Good consultant for pulsatile tinnitus?
Hi can anyone recommend a private consultant in the UK (near London) to get me started on diagnosis and treatment for pulsatile tinnitus? I've had it for a few years and been through standard GPs and ENT, hearing test and MRI scan all showing a blank. I need someone who knows what they're doing, and
