Preserved LV Systolic function
Does anyone know what this is? This was on a letter as diagnosis from cardiologist to my GP in addition to paroxysmal atrial fibrillation but was never mentioned to me.

How fast can CKD hit you? I have controlled hypertension, and missed my physical in 2020 because of covid. Back in Oct of 2019 I had my last blood work done, and it was good on the kidney front. GFR of 90, creatinine where it should be. I have not been dxed with diabetes, though I have the gene for type

Is there no pattern to this AFIB stuff?
My episodes have increased to almost once a month which is very disappointing because they used to be almost a year apart. I go to emergency & get chemically converted. PIPs have not worked. Last year, an IV of metoprolol (beta blocker) got me back into normal sinus rhythm, but the last couple of times

Unexpected Fast AF
I posted earlier about some AF which started this morning at 0130. I took various Kardia readings and discovered that the heart was beating at about 75-85 bpm for several hours. When I got up at about 0900, however, the reading shot up to 146 bpm, then, very surprisingly, 10 minutes later after taking

NIDDUK quote - link between diabetes type 2 and stroke
People with diabetes tend to develop heart disease at a younger age than people without diabetes. In adults with diabetes, the most common causes of death are heart disease and stroke. Adults with diabetes are nearly twice as likely to die from heart disease or stroke as people without diabetes.2.

i'm very lightheaded most of the time. Could it be apixaban? Or is it normal for Parkinsons? my GP says try Dabigatran.
ive been on Apixaban (5 mg x 2 daily) since 2016 for Afb after my stroke and subsequent major heart surgery - fine, my bloods are very healthy. I'm fighting PD with exercise, food and meditation etc. I have good days, bad days but the light headedness is around most of the time. I am 78 and weigh 50kilos

Pacemaker
Just had a pacemaker done today . Due to bradacardia. There were issues with getting it done due to finding vain at collar bone .and then lead would not go by the valve. Used 3 diferent ones. Eventually it worked. Also very painful due to getting pacemaker inserted into position. Took 1 & half hours
