Pure misery, trying to avoid emotional eating/binge eating
I posted on a thread a while ago and got some very helpful comments and messages. I'm two weeks on. I am doing better eating wise : I'm making better choices and taking things one hour at a time. The problem I am having is being so desperately unhappy with my weight, especially the fat around my middle

PNH - blood test
I just received this PNH test result and was wondering if anyone knows what it was testing for. I don't see my doctor until next week and I am curious. Thanks, Jack INTERPRETATION Flow Cytometry analysis did not detect RBC and WBC with PNH-associated phenotype. RBC, Granulocytes and Monocytes show

Fast heart rate after eating sugar
Hi everyone, I have a history of a fast heart rate for unknown reasons, and have had short episodes of svt. Generally it has been under control recently due to taking a beta blocker. I have had it checked by an electrophysiologist and had an echo. This morning however I’m back to noticing my heart

No progress with Dr...and other possible symptoms?
My last posts explained my blood test results which show high antibodies but everything else within range. On this basis my Dr is not willing to do any other testing, even though I do suffer with joint pain, fatigue, hair loss etc and have a family history of hypothyroidism. I have given up gluten

Enid has told me T3 will shorten my life
At my recent endo appointment, the Professor looked at me over the top of his spectacles and said, ‘if the blood test comes back right, I’m happy for you to stop taking the trial of T4 ‘(which I was coerced into taking) “and go onto 3 x day T3, 10mcg. You do realise it’s as clear as barn doors staring

Meds & raised blood sugar
My 86 year old brother, who has heart failure, was found at a routine blood test to have raised blood sugar in the prediabetic range. In response to this, he received a standard letter from the practice with the website of diabetes UK to consult for info. He can't use the internet and I was concerned

Pre diabetes update , raised uric acid,
About 2 weeks ago I had some blood tests at the GP surgery , received a text telling me I was pre diabetic and offering me to join a program to make health choices etc. I was shocked, so was my GP. She went through my history, current rehab, nutrition etc and thought the result was a false positive.

diabetes & B12 Deficiency
Hi all, for the last 4 months I’ve been on the B12 deficiency (possibly PA) path and have assumed that eventually the B12 injections will make me feel better. I’ve had all the classic symptoms. I’ve had the 6 loading doses, 2 further jabs at 6 weeks apart and I’m now on a 4 weekly regime with the UK

Nighttime symptoms
Hi I am hoping for understanding of symptoms which occur about 04.30 most mornings. I awake with a frontal headache and a pounding heart. This has been getting more frequent over almost 3 years. All blood tests have been normal. It’s been put down to health anxiety but I feel it’s a physical condition

Lab Cut Backs (blood testing)!
I've read on here numerous times about people being refused T3 tests because "we're not allowed to test that any more" etc etc. Clearly appalling when trying to get a full picture of what's going on with your thyroid. I've just spoken to the GP about some other blood tests I'm having done tomorrow (

Sore stomach on apixaban
I’ve been on apixaban for just over 2 months and have 3 weeks to go, then 4 weeks off before a d dimer blood test. I’ve had awful stomach cramps for a couple of weeks, blood in stools and leaking watery blood like I’m wetting myself (lovely picture!). The doctor is sending me for the fast track bladder

Started T3
Delighted to say that the consultant endo agreed to a 6 month trial of T3. Even better can get it on the NHS where I am. 2 weeks in & I am starting to feel the benefit. I am taking 5mcg twice a day - when I get up & approximately 12 hours later (about 8.30pm). It doesn't seem to be affecting my sleep

I just had blood work after 2 infusions. My Ferritin went from 14 to 677. Is that too high?

Decipher and me
I'm having trouble with my urology team that are doing my TRUS/Fusion biopsy next week. The doc is unwilling to send my sample out right away for Decipher. From what I understand, in my 'high risk' category, just based on MRI, genetic testing may be hugely helpful going forward. For the past week I've
