I think it is about 10 months since I last posted here - and a lot has been happening! It is now 9 months since I started LT4 being titrated up and last weeks blood test show I have finally hit optimal levels. My GP has agreed to test again in 3 months to check I remain stable (on 125mcg.) Now, I am sure that because of various symptoms etc; my thyroid had struggled for at least 20 years

Advice on latest blood tests
Hi all, Hoping to get some advice on bloods following my latest tests. Just wondered if it's worth increasing the T4 as it's a bit lower since putting on a little bit of weight. I'm happy with my Vit D, B12, Folate and Iron and hence have not included those results. Thanks in advance

Has methotrexate caused liver damage
I had a blood test which showed raised levels of ALP 136, Aspartate Transaminase 68. My GP said that my RA meds have caused damage to my liver!!! I am having a liver fibroscan tommorrow to check for fatty liver. Very anxious but will need to take it one step at a time. Any guidance and advice welcome

Blood test results regarding magnesium - thank you everyone for advice
I posted previously about my mumās anxiety and how she has been struggling with it for months now. After a lot of advice from this group, I requested that the GP checks her magnesium and thyroid so thank you to everyone who advised me to get this checked . Her results have shown that thyroid is fine.

Need advice on getting diagnosis
Hello, I am looking for advice for my sister. In October of 2023 she fell down the stairs and injured her tailbone. She did not go to A and E, which in hindsight was a mistake. At first she was experiencing severe pain in her tailbone/coccyx and could not sit down for very long. After several weeks

Blood test protocol for Thyroid levels
Hi, just need some advice on doing Thyroid blood tests in the evening. I have seen the protocol for doing it in the morning before 9am and on an empty stomach etc. What about if your taking your T4 medication before bedtime at 11pm after eating your last meal 4 hours before. Do you take your blood

Headaches and nightmares on T3 monotherapy
Hi, does anyone else get headaches and nightmares on T3 monotherapy? I have read the side effects leaflet and it states that 'headache' and 'insomnia' are two of the side effects; since I have been on T3 only I often wake up in the night and have a very light sleep compared to what I am used to, then

I was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in 2019. Iāve had regular bi annual scans and a liver biopsy, which have confirmed that the scarring in the liver is no better nor any worse. However Iāve not been feeling too good for the past few months and my GP kept fobbing me off with blood tests (even though

I am having some help from a medical herbalist who, on seeing my thyroid blood test results, has got quite stroppy and insisting my TSH should be higher , and I should lower my thyroid medication

Hi, I wonder if anyone could tell me whether itās possible for T3 to simply ānot agreeā with me? Iāve posted here before and got lots of great advice. My numbers previously showed me mid range through all the thyroid numbers but not converting well to T3. I was advised to take selenium and zinc

Crash after Covid?
Iām really struggling to balance my body back out after having Covid and so so puzzled. Not sure why this has happened or where to go with it next. Has anyone had a really bad crash after Covid? Iām diagnosed pernicious anaemia and hypothyroid Hashimotos. I had been in the same routine with supplements
