Low phosphate levels linked to hypothyroidism?
Hi all, I am under close monitoring for my kidneys by a renal consultant. I had severe acute kidney injury (AKI) caused by sepsis last year and am very slowly improving. At my recent six monthly blood test, my phosphate levels had dropped and they are now below range. The trend for this has been dropping

Stopping Injections After 3 Loading Doses
Hi! I’m new here and learning so much from reading all of the posts here. I was diagnosed with low B12 levels earlier on this year, although my PA antibodies came back negative. I was put on injections, and was meant to have 6 over 2 weeks followed by 1 every 3 months, however my GP had to stop them

Might be diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS)
Hi I previously in January 2023 was diagnosed with PE, the past year has been difficult and long and knowing I was on blood thinners adoxaban forever as the heamotogist advised originally in January 23 was killing me, as I have heard that blood thinners are rat poison and can get internal bleeding.

Recently diagnosed fibromyalgia
Hi all, after 6 years of test after test I'm newly diagnosed the fibromyalgia, which given the amount of pain and fact I can't walk more than a few paces without pain and developing a limp, I'm finding hard to accept. I do have osteoarthritis but my consultant said the level of pain I'm experiencing

Parathyroid test is high
I've recently had a blood test (yearly bloods) to check my thyroid levels as I have an under active thyroid. My doctor also did my Parathyroid which has shown up as high and he's referred me to an endocrinologist. Does anyone know what this means?

h pylori on endoscopy but negative on stool and blood test
I have suffered with severe constipation for the last three years and stomach issues for the last 6 months. I had stool and blood test for h pylori in October last year. Both of these tests came back as negative. More recently I had an endoscopy because I got to the point where I felt really full

Hydroxychloroquine toxic retinopathy
Hi. I have had Lupus for 22 years and been on Hydroxychloroquine 400mg daily since then plus 2mg Prednisolone. Recent eye tests have shown that the Hydroxy is affecting the retina. I was warned at the outset, that it can affect eyes, but it still a bit of a shock. Opthamology Consultant says I must

Precordial T wave changes
I had an ecg last week and this result is coming up on my Airmid app with a ? ischaemia beside it. "Precordial T wave changes ? ischaemia" Should I contact my surgery for clarification? I also had a blood test and those results have come back with no abnormalities although they didn't take cholesterol

A reply to Wasabigirl’s post about PID (?) which has since been deleted
You could ask for an MRI of the lower pelvis and muscles there. A sonogram generally cant see those areas (nor a laparoscopy or laparotomy) and pain in those areas can refer to the groin. I had an infection and was only treated with tetracycline for 5 days (many years ago). Then the terrible burning

12 Day Trial
1.5mg methylcobalamin, 1.5mg adenosylcobalamin, 1mg hydroxocobalamin. SC injection 5 times a day including setting an alarm to inject at night. 50 mg B6 in the form of P-5-P or pain from peripheral neuropathy returns. Results of this trial are positive. Much closer to knowing what is most effective

15hour wait for an ambulance
I was told by GP to call an ambulance because I had a chest ache for about 3 weeks and was having AFib at the time. I explained that it was not a pain but an ache and asked if I really did need an ambulance? She was adamant I did. Called 999 at noon - ambulance arrived 3am! Hospital trolley in corridor
