Total thyroidectomy
Hi everyone. I had a total thyroidectomy 5 weeks ago today and was wondering if anyone else has had the same operation that I can ask questions about. I felt fine after surgery for around 2 weeks but then hit a brick wall, I was tachycardic, sweating, shaking, palpitations, felt woozy etc and I think

cortisol blood test tips?
Any suggestions to adhere to for ‘9 am cortisol’ blood test being done at 7.40 tomorrow? I believe it is regarded as Addison’s or not, and nothing in between, so is there nothing that can be suggested to Gp if low but not too low? Did a private saliva test test some years ago now( pre covid) it was

Underactive thyroid and Pine pollen
Hi I have had an underactive for almost 3 years now and I take Eltroxin 75mcg mon-fri and 50mcg sat-sun but have not seen any results with weight loss. I am still fatigued and still picking up weight, almost 30kg's in 3 years which is not helpful. My blood test results come back normal so I am not sure

Diabetes and APs / Keto
i was diagnosed as APS back in 2005 and had stable INR controlled with warferin since then. A few months ago my cholesterol and glucose levels were high. just on the cusp of Type 2 diabetes. I lost 10kg weight with mix of diet and a lot more exercise. My cholesterol and glucose levels fine again.

Hi. I've had hypothyroidism for 27 year's and was born with hypercalcemia familiar. In February I noticed my right gland area was enlarged and hoarse voice. I went for a blood test on April 1st to be told that I was slightly overactive and they would adjust medication at next routine blood appointment

Chronic migraine and chronic sore throat
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anybody is struggling (and this for years) with chronic migraine and chronic sore throat/chronic tonsillitis. I have come to think that part of my migraines are caused by an underlying chronic infection. As usual, blood tests are fine. Antibiotics work for the throat

Almost 40years of complexity and no end in sight?
In Feb 1987, I returned to the UK after a 3 year posting in Cyprus and we were accommodated in married quarters on a nearby former USAF base. About 6 months later, and without any warning my symptoms of tiredness and general malaise started. I was prescribed an iron tonic, which eventually I was drinking

Still fighting for a diagnosis B12, PA
Due to my ongoing failing health I've had to do my own research as to the pathway of blood test results, symptoms and the progression/knock on effects of having doctors who refuse to help. High FSH
Hi everyone I was devastated yesterday when I found out through my blood test that my FSH levels are too high (19.8) to do my ivf round. I had a medicated cycle previously that only resulted in one egg (unfortunately this egg turned into a blastocyst but didn’t stay when implanted) this 2nd round was

Is anyone here familiar with metabolomic analysis?
I've heard about metabolomics only recently while listening to a Dr Berg podcast. In short, if I understood correctly, it differs from regular blood tests by looking for the concentration of things (like amino acids, minerals, polyphenol, etc...) within your cells rather than the concentration in your

Treatment changes - Rituximab?
Finally saw my consultant again last week. Think he was quite surprised at how swollen my hands have become and he said I'd done well to keep going. So am feeling a little more positive, though I'm battling through a lot of pain. The steroid jabs I had in my finger and thumb base seem to have given

WBC and Lymphocytes are increasing
Hello everyone, I am posting after a year. My wife was diagnosed with CLL in 2020. She is still in W&W form. Her WBC and Lymphocyte are climbing linearly. I'd like to hear from hematologists, CLL specialists, and CLL fellows and so on. She has TP53 muted, 13q deletions, and 12 trisomy. Her last blood
