Raised GGT
Following a routine ultrasound a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with multiple liver cysts including one large one (15cm). Liver blood tests showed raised ggt and alkaline phosphate. Ayear ago they were 95 and 135 respectively. My GP referred me to a liver specialist who remarked that he sees much

supplements and thyroxine
Hi all. I wanted to ask advice as I know that my GP will just suggest a regular blood test to see if the supplements are affecting my thyroxine. I hope you don’t mind taking some time to check if these ingredients are ok with my thyroid meds. I have uploaded pics. I guess it’s the iodine in my perimenopausal

8 years of IVF, 8 transfers, 3 miscarriages and one live birth in the midst of all of that for which we are very blessed. Just as we decide that we just don't think we can go on anymore as the only embryo left is very poor quality.............I get a positive pregnancy test from a natural conception

Changing time of meditation
Hi, is it possible that by changing the time of your dose of thyroxine from morning to night can affect the absorption giving you effectively a higher dose? I have taken 100mcg early morning 3-4 hours before food for a long long time. My T4 was slightly over range on last blood test in July but I changed

Blood cancer - myleodysplasia
Does anyone else have myleodysplasia, and do you get any symptoms. My red blood cells are larger than normal and was told by Neuro Surgeon to have six monthly blood tests to ensure white blood cells did not become infected. I have no symptoms myself but wondered how many others have this condition.Sallywag

NIH visit and Richters discussion
As some of you have posted about previously, today I also entered the NIH natural history study for CLL. The visit was good, efficient and pretty painless. Getting on the campus was straightforward only requiring a driver's license and a pre-registration with the CLL team that was seen by security.

Help...early miscarriage and feeling neglected by our clinic
I'd be really grateful if someone could share their knowledge/experience on the following. We had a 5 day blastocyst (3ab) transfer a few weeks ago. 7 days after transfer we tested positive (at home pregnancy test). I began spotting on day 8 and bleeding heavily on day 9 post transfer. Our beta HCG (

Iron Infusion
Hi All Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this. I’m on Methotrexate for RA, have been taking it for about 6 years, bloods are taken every few months as it can cause liver problems. My ALT has been low for years now, but since having an iron infusion in April, my ALT, GGT are getting higher

Is there a T3 and blood pressure connection?
We recently purchased an at home blood pressure reader. When I have tested in the evening it is high at around 150/90 which is worrying. I had to do an at home blood test this morning so held back on taking my thyroid medication. I took my blood pressure a few times within half an hour of getting up
