coming off sotalol
I had my ablation in September. Just had my follow-up appointment this afternoon and the Doctor, who did my ablation, said it went well, my ECG was ok and he said I should come off the Sotalol tablets. I have been on these for a lot of years, so am a bit worried about stopping them. I had to stop them

Hello, I live in Minnesota and was diagnosed with CLL in Oct 2022 and my oncologist at the Masonic Cancer Center put me on the O and V treatment which started in Dec 2022. I finished the O in May 2023 and the V in Dec 2023. Latest blood test has all my counts in the normal range except Abs Lymphocytes

Hello I saw the Heart Failure Nurse January 31st she said you need a 24hr Holter so received appointment today for March 6th so just 5 weeks which I think is pretty reasonable. Just received another appointment to see H F Cardiologist on the 11th April so just 5 weeks after Holter. He is the ICD

A very unwelcome visitor
I posted in January about being discharged from hospital cardiology after I declined a second ablation because I’d been AF free for over 12 months. Unfortunately, last Saturday AF appeared out of the blue! I only discovered it by chance as I was not aware of any pulse issues. I had a slight headache

My uncertain heart
After an hour of sitting and reading the paper online this morning, I noticed sensations in my chest similar to those that have previously indicated AF. My Wellue told me I was in sinus but the rhythm was irregular and there were PACs and PVCs. I have often noticed that PACs and PVCs in the mornings

Should one asymptomatic and isolated AF episode be medicated?
Hi Forum. At my pre op assessment (for hip surgery) last Monday the ECG showed AF. No symptoms at all, I walk my dogs +/- 4 miles daily. My BP machine shows normal resting heart rate and BP. So on strength of one ECG my GP has prescribed anticoagulant tabs which I know is for the AF risk of clotting.

Acute Pericarditis
In September I had an NSTEMI and after Angiogram was told I didn't need Stents as there was no signifacat blockage, Ejecvtion Fraction as good and had preserved left ventrical function. During my time in Hospital (a week) I felt fine and was actively encouraged to wander the corridors. First week home

Knock wood... AFib continues to be in check
I've been working at 6,800 ft/2,100 m as a Camp cook in the San Bernardino mountains for the past two summers and roaming the Santa Ana River Valley peaks at 10,000-11,500 ft/3,000-3,500 m. A month ago, I went in for a routine visit with my lead cardiologist (I had a massive heart attack 11½ years ago

Pre diabetes post bypass surgery?
I had an alarming text from my GP surgery telling me the result of a blood test showed that I’m pre diabetic and that I could enroll onto a programme to improve my lifestyle! I was absolutely shocked . I contacted my GP surgery (using the irritating on line form /application for advice of doom 🤦🏼)

Potential Diagnosis. Vasospasms
So about 8:30am this morning I had a sudden punch to the chest and pain in my arm, it felt different so I did decide to go to hospital felt short of breathe too. ECG fine Second ECG fine Troponin was only 6. So obviously ruling out a heart attack, however I had two more episodes of the same thing
