Sometimes the solution is simple !
Getting through the winter isn’t isn’t easy, is it friends ? This one was a long one and once the spring is on its way my energy levels, enthusiasm and motivation get going and life opens up again. It didn’t happen this year though. Asthma COPD for 21 years….was it all getting to the body ? No energy

ectopics or extra beats.
I have twice in the past converted to persistent AF which has been sorted both times by cardioversion. However yesterday for the entire day my heart felt like it was having a disco. Ectopics, extra beats, early or skipped beats…..whatever! Should I be worried? I do have a bit of a chesty cough at the

Post ablation concerns part 2
Hi everyone - last weekend I posted that 10 days after my PFA I went back into AF. Sadly I am still there & now pretty terrified it has completely failed. The hospital did an ECG on Monday then called on Wednesday to say for me to restart the Amiodorone which was stopped after the ablation & they would

thoracic aortic dilation
I was diagnosed with a ‘borderline ‘ dilation of 3.5cm earlier this year having had an echocardiogram because of heart fluttering symptoms. I also await the results of a 72hr ECG. As things stand, a consultant has written to me and requested I repeat the echo after 3 years. Has anyone else experienced

Exercise induced AF
I’ve had a great 4 years since my AF diagnosis, able to live pretty normally in terms of my choice of exercise with 3 years AF free following my cardioversion and just a few increasing episodes of paroxysmal AF in the last year. Recently I felt that a triathlon bike/run training session set off my AF

Trigger warning - miscarriage at 5/6 weeks
I found out yesterday that my FET has not been as successful as I thought, and at 6 weeks my
HCG
levels are dropping and the scan revealed the pregnancy isn’t viable. I have been told to stop my meds and wait for nature to take its course.

Why it’s a good idea to use your Kardia etc regularly
It’s a saga but will make it as short as possible! I have paroxysmal AF, big nuisance but I don’t usually have fast episodes any more, take Apixaban anticoagulant so I put up with it. On Friday afternoon while quietly looking at a book an episode started. As usual pretty nasty for first two hours but

Ablation update
Well, I had a catheter Ablation in February and had a 7 day ECG last week to check how it went. I can say that gladly it was successful, done by Prof Richard Schilling and thanks very much for his skills and knowledge. Hoping to continue recovering in the months to come. I had an insurance funded treatment

Amiodarone
I have been taking this drug since October 23 after a failed CV last July and the only side effects seem to be sensitivity to sunlight and some sleep disturbance. All blood tests come back within normal levels. I noticed at the beginning of April that my HR was back to normal levels even with a resting

Slow ventricular response
This was the narrative on my recent ecg for a paroxysmal AF flare which has just gone into a 10th continuous day, normally up to 3 days. Nobody seems too bothered, GP described it as well controlled, and it's certainly milder than usual. Just that I wasn't familiar with the title description and wonder

In pain all the time
I recently went into hospital with buring chest sensation that went into neck, face back and arms. My ECG was the same as 2019. My bloods was showing I'd had a heart attack. In the IC ward, Dr told me he thinks its angina so sent me to the cardiology ward. Over my 5 days there had countless BP checks

Wellue 24 hr monitor
I've been using the wellue 24 hour monitor for about 6 months it's a very useful device as it is small and you just place it on the left below the collar bone with ECG sticky pads after the 24 hours you upload it to a program that you install on a laptop.I recently had a reading that includes short

Heart pain
I wonder if somebody can assist with a question. I'm a 46 year old with a minor mitral valve prolapse. Possible sinus nerve damage on the lower ventricle but minor. I'm not on medication. There is no known 'major' issue or treatment plan suggested by cardiologist. I am very fit with low heart beat. Have
