Disopyramide Replacement?
Hi all, I have been on Disopyramide (Rhythmodan Retard 250mg) for the past 5/6 years, but now finding it almost impossible to obtain from the pharmacists in the Wiltshire area, so I am looking for an alternative. Back in January, my GP switched me to Bisprolol, but that didn't work as its rate rather

Breathlessness- pollen or something else?
I just wanted to ask if anyone else has been experiencing more breathlessness with the weather change. My mum has Permanent AF with heart failure. She’s had bisoprolol increased in February this year from 3.75mg once a day to the same dose twice a day. We had a GP appointment last week which I asked

Sinus tachycardia / ectopic beat issue
Hi all, whilst on holiday last week, I woke up to a horrible episode of ST with ectopic beats. ST was over 110 BPM with horrible ectopic beats. For me, I really feel them .. This continued on and off throughout the holiday and with my heath anxiety, I am sure this was not helping. Upon returning to

Leaky Heart Valve and various symptoms
Pleased to have found this group. I recently saw my GP about some loud, intrusive tinnitus. I've had tinnitus for years but this was more severe and a bit worrying. She thought it might be pulsatile and sent me for an ECG, which revealed an anomaly. I then had an echocardiogram, which revealed a leaky

Severe palputations...explanation?
Hi. I am 56 years old with a history of SVT, low blood pressure, and night time panic attacks causing a very fast heart beat. I have been on a low dose of bisoprolol for several years now which has largely managed my symptoms. However after getting severe anxiety upon menopause, I started HRT and Sertraline

Hi im just looking for some advice if possible. 2 weeks ago today I woke up with a really tight chest and a feeling that something was sat on my chest! I got extremely anxious but through deep breathing I calmed myself down and went back to sleep, following on from that I’ve had an uncomfortable feeling

Update Day 4 of Treatment for Richters Transformation
Had a major hick up day 4. The beginning of an anaphylaxis reaction. Chemo stopped. Rapid response team called and in my room in 2 minutes. Got IV benedryl, epinephrine, Pepcid. Things resolved pretty quick but the lymph nodes in my neck enlarged so they ordered an mri stat. In the evening had another

heart rate / calcium channel blockers
Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask but at the end of May I had an episode of vasovagal syncope and was diagnosed with pernicious anemia, which I was then medicated for. I continued to have fainting episodes and was then diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension. My heart rate rises by 50bpm

Very low HCG 💔
I had a DE FET on 28/04. On Saturday (8dp5dt) I got a faint positive on FRER. Yesterday (10dp5dt) I had my BHCG taken and it was only 9.34 mlU/mL so it’s not looking promising. I have to repeat the BHCG tomorrow but I can’t see how it’s going to be a good outcome. I’m just so sad.

Kardia. An alternate way to use it.
I think Kardia is a great home device and own four of their models. However, from experience and after reading many posts here, it seems that how you use Kardia can often be the difference between it being helpful device that helps diagnose and manage arrhythmia's, and a device that causes more stress

Peace of Mind
Over the past several months I've not been quite as active on the forum. This has been because I've been busy attending a host of appointments with different medical professionals, ranging from the practise nurse to various consultants, all in order to discover the cause of some uncomfortable and worrying

Is musculosketetal condition associated with PMR
I have not written on the form for a while but would like your thoughts on the following: On Sunday night and all day Monday I had chest pain especially when breathing in, and both shoulders and upper back were sore. It was still very painful on Tuesday so I phoned GP and was told as it was chest pains

palpatations
I had a full on MI 7 weeks ago and am very lucky to still be here. Obviously on a lot of meds but chest pain is nearly just the odd twinge from the CPR damage and possible Pericarditis (which I’m taking Cochicine for). My question is, I’ve suddenly started to get an episode of palpatations once a day
