A few ECG questions for the wise ones! Kardia versus wellvue for my situation?
I have PAF but for 2 years I have had 1 episode (after long haul flight & jet lag). Then on 8 August, & since, I have had trigenimy PAC & I am now noticing a few AF short episodes thrown in along with some normal sinus rhythm (not much normal SR). The PACs feel permanent š¤ & are very unpleasant. I

Bypass next week - I'm terrified.
Hi. I had an MI in 2012 with one stent in the left circumflex. All other vessels were clear. I had no problems at all - until three weeks ago when I started getting chest pain. After some very frustrating A&E visits where I was sent home twice because my ECG was normal and troponin levels were under

Anxiety after heart attack
I had an NSTEMI in December 2023; they expanded one of my coronary arteries with a balloon angioplasty. I have had anxiety on and off all my life, and it has been particularly bad over the past months. I am on an antidepressant, and worry about that possibly affecting my heart. Some of the time I can

A cautionary tale...
With a week to go before the end of my 3 month blanking period without any sign of AF, I was feeling pretty good about it. Then a day ago I submitted to having a bronchoscopy at the local hospital, investigating source of occasional blood in sputum (convinced it's anticoagulant related). Procedure all

Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW)
Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW) is a combination of symptoms of palpitations, with the presence of an extra electrical pathway, resulting in an ECG abnormality. The extra pathway can result in episodes of fast heart rhythm, and can also be genetically inherited. This is a problem present from birth

Help to keep T3 at correct level
Hello, I need some help please. I have recently had a couple of bouts of Atrial Fibrillation, May and July. My GP registrar wrote to the endocrinology team to ask for advise because my TSH was 0.02. The endo (who I have never met) has written back and said to halve my dose of T3 from 20mcg to 10mcg

Fainting after GTN
Hi everyone Have posted before but now 4 weeks post my MI and feeling very dispirited. Last week I thought I was making a tiny bit of progress - walking albeit short distances at a snails pace and even managed a short trip into town. Ever since my MI (STEMI) and stent I've had funny pains/twinges/tightness

Good news - 14 Kardias in my GP surgery ..
I was elated when my GP surgery phoned to say they have acquired 14 Kardias which they plan to use in surgery and to screen people who come for the COVID vax. Although I had sent a proposal to them about a month ago I can't be sure this led directly to their decision but they thanked me for the proposal

CT whole aorta scan
A few weeks ago I saw cardiologist. He didn't really explain to me everything. He said I have aorta stenosis following results of ecg, Echocardiogram and a ct scan.He said I will need a coronary angiogram and he will arrange it. He said nothing else. Then I received appointments for a CT whole aorta
