Carbo, Gem, Covid and Laura
The next day, my bone marrow crashed dramatically- platelets fell from 500 to 39,
Haemoglobin
dropped to 66 (should be over 100), neutrophils dropped to .6 (should be at least 1.1). All my electrolytes were severely below normal, from Magnesium to phosphorus to potassium.

Unknown diagnosis no time
She’s had to have a blood transfusion to keep her in the safe range but the
haemoglobin
levels dropped from 10 to 6 in two weeks.

Can anyone help me with levels results please until I can see the Consultant.
Haemoglobin
137 White cell count 12.1 Platelets 669 Neutrophils 8.3 GFR 85 I don’t know what “normal” levels are so am struggling to get a baseline in my own head. If this makes sense. I’m currently on 75mg aspirin once a day.

First post from a newbie awaiting JAK2 result
He said he had phoned haematology at the general hospital as my
haemoglobin
,haematocrit and red cell count were all above high ref range.Haematologist told him with those results alone he would diagnose Polycythemia and that I needed a JAK2 test which I had done the next day.

Coping after 2weeks loading injections
Your
haemoglobin
is normal meaning you are not anaemic and your B12 level is only borderline. Therefore continued loading doses not recommended in your case’. I expect many of you have had similar replies from your GP. I am now confused.

Normal TSH & T4?
I also have a vit b12 deficiency treated with injections and my blood test showed a high
haemoglobin
estimation. Not sure if that’s relevant? My sister has a b12 deficiency and under active thyroid too. Thank you

More battles with GP
Since then my
haemoglobin
gradually dropped from 126 to 114 in February 2020. Two weeks ago I was told my bloods were ‘normal’ by phone - after I saw him to request ferritin levels check which he ordered. Now to my horror I have discovered that my overlooked ferritin was only 12 !

Delay of operation.
Haemoglobin
was down to 83. (I have had four chemo's) So now I have to wait another week for hopefully my bloods to come back up. I know its not the end of the world, but I had psyched myself up for it and am scared as it is. Just need some re-assurance. Thank you.

Coronavirus - PA sufferers potentially at some increased risk
Iron's absorption, required for
haemoglobin
(Hb) production, may be impaired, too. In consequence, I think that PA sufferers, as a whole, will tend to have lower-than-average total
haemoglobin
levels.

Haemoglobin
Just wondering if anyone else has a low
haemoglobin
, in December when I was in hospital it was way down in the low 60's and I was possibly needing a blood transfusion, luckily for me it's up at 84 just now which is still low but long term it's also better for me as a transfusion can make it a little

Niraparib Update Nos 2
Had clinic this morning and I am pleased to say that my
haemoglobin
has risen again to 96 so I am able to continue with Niraparib 200mg. I take my tablets at bedtime and so far no nausea or other symptoms.
