My low ferritin saga continues
His response I'm sure will cause some amusement for all the wrong reasons - he said " low ferritin levels in the absence of low
haemoglobin
are of no clinical significance and do not require any action - we will only give supplements if
haemoglobin
is low i.e. anaemic".

Pegasys and increasingly low haemoglobin count
Platelets are up and down and hovering around 300 but
haemoglobin
has continually dropped and now stands at 119. Has anyone else experienced a steady drop in
haemoglobin
counts whilst on pegasys, after a similar period of time (5 years)? Did reducing the dosage reverse the situation?

Low dose aspirin
Looking back on past blood tests I noticed that since I was put on the low dose aspirin, due to being diagnosed with angina at the beginning of last year, my
haemoglobin
levels have dropped a bit although not to the point of being anemic until now.

Monitoring
His
haemoglobin
was very low and last week he had to have a blood transfusion. I feel he has not been treated well but would be grateful for other's views and advice on how often most people are monitored if they continue drinking. Thank you.

Heart problems
I want to know is my heart damaged because of the MPN because it has had to work harder,
haemoglobin
being below normal for 4 years , and is it OK for me to continue park runs and long walks? Any similar experiences?

EPO and IV iron infusion
Now her
haemoglobin
has again came down again. Can anyone please advice me that how frequently doctors can give her IV infusion iron shots along with EPO shots. I am assuming that iron pills are not working for her therefore doctor stopped the iron pill for her. Any advice would be great for me.

Anyone near Dorking in Surrey who’d like to meet up?
I’m taking 15 mg ruxolitinib twice a day, and since weekly injections of EPO were added, my
haemoglobin
levels have pretty well normalised. Definitely feel more energetic. I really enjoyed meeting other people with MPNs at the Edinburgh forum recently.
