Got Sent home with amlodipine ( which I had been taken off)and a blood test in a week as
haemoglobin
level Was a little low. Got a colonoscopy on the 4th Feb so I reckon attack was probably stress related.

Anaemia
I’ve been told I’m anaemic (
Haemoglobin
is now at 98 which I think is pretty low) and also on top of that…. My neutrophils are very low after having just finished my very final cycle of Ibrance.

Transferrin saturation iron results query please?
It said results wld be given as
haemoglobin
and transferrin as a percentage reading. It's arrived saying Iron 26.4 range 10.8-28,3 umol/L Transferrin H Transferrin Saturation H, presuming this means high until hear otherwise.

Advice needed recurrence
Ended up having a blood transfusion last Tuesday as
haemoglobin
was really low. Running parallel to this about four weeks ago a different new GP called me out of the blue and said I needed to have my bloods checked and when was my next appointment with the Gastro man. Clearly hadn’t read my notes.

iron related help
hi there I just received my blood test results and my
Haemoglobin
, RBC and HCT were slightly lower than guidelines but my full iron panel came back in range. Spoke to GP who said she isn’t worried and to eat iron rich food and a multivitamin & to test again in 3 months.

Docetaxel re-challenge not going so well
During this hospital stay his
haemoglobin
went to 90 to 77 in 48 hours and he was discharged. He's been extremely fatigued as all his blood values have been low. His ALP was 570 during this time. He will get a blood transfusion tomorrow with his fourth round of chemo.

Are My Arteries Getting Worse?
If you dig out your blood test you'll find a score for HbA1c, or
Haemoglobin
A1c. It will be a number, such as 29 mmol/mol, or 48 mmol/mol. It's a measure of how much glucose (sugar) has stuck to our red blood cells.

Any advice or help please
And England do not advise you to get checked - Within the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme in England we refer people for further investigations with a result of 120 micrograms of human
haemoglobin
(blood) per gram of faeces (poo) (μgHb/g faeces) or more to discuss having a colonoscopy.
