Update.
The steroids I am on has have improved my
haemoglobin
and I am reducing the dosage over 4 weeks. I am to stay on folic acid tablets for the mean time. The letter I received states that my haematologist cannot say whether or when the Rituximab I received will kick in.

Bloods unstable
Since my diagnosis my bloods have only been stable for a few weeks and at my last review I was told my
haemoglobin
169 and haemltocrit had crept back up to 0.527 I was told they didn't want to send me for a venesection because they need to control my blood count with the interferon and that over venesection

Coincidence?
I had my blood results on Tuesday, my
haemoglobin
had dropped like a stone to 69, my white count dropped from 5.10 to 3.6, RBC down to 2.29 from 3.27, RDW up to 22.6 from 20.6. Spleen enlarged too. Platelets ok at 280.

Low iron levels with a heart condition
My
haemoglobin
is currently ok at 140 g/L although some of my other FBC results were outside the normal range. Has anyone else experienced this low iron? Will I need iron tablets forever? I think my periods play a part in this as I'm still on dual blood thinners so they're ridiculously heavy.

Haematocrit slightly low, haemoglobin normal. ?
Hi. I had my bloods done by my GP before I go to a consultant appointment tomorrow, Monday 14 th, at the Marsden In Sutton. I noticed that my haemolglobin was in normal range at 120g/L ( range 115- 165) but the haematocrit from the same blood sample was below range ( only just) 0.369 ratio (

Very low ferritin with top of range haemoglobin can you then safely supplement iron to get ferritin up?
But what I would like to know, if anyone knows, is it safe to supplement iron if your
haemoglobin
is at top of range (despite very low ferritin). I’d read somewhere that it’s dangerous as it can cause dvt????

B12 or something else?
My recent Full Blood count: Mean cell volume 97.0 fL [83.0 - 101.0] Mean cell
haemoglobin
level 30.1 pg [27.0 - 32.0] both these values have been creeping up in the last few years. So my question is, could this be a B12 thing, even though my blood test results show high values?
