GNRH Injections and Fibroids
He has recommended the
GNRH
Analogue injections which will force the symptoms of the menopause early thus hopefully stopping my periods, shrinking the fibroids and reducing the pain. Has anyone had these injections and do they work?

I have been in
GNRH
analogues for 2 years. I have made a decision to come off them now, as they initially told me to go on them when I was supposed to have been listed for surgery. I have just found out I wasn't listed until January 23 even though I had an exploration lap in Oct 22.

Nonexistent Periods
I had a
GNRH
injection in July and still haven’t had a period, is this normal? I did have my endometriosis surgery in late November, but expected my periods to be back by now?

Coming off GNRH analogues
Hi, I have been on prostrap and then zoladex for the past 2.5 years. This was to help with pain which it did initially and i have been waiting for so long for an op. One year ago my consultant said persevere bit longer. Its only licensed for a 6 months and I'm concerned that I'm doing more damage

🔥 Hot Topic – Endometriosis and Menopause
It can also occur surgically following removal of ovaries and medically, as a side effect of hormone treatments such as
GnRH
analogues. Unlike surgical or natural menopause, a medical menopause is temporary and reverses when hormone treatments are stopped.

2nd FET protocol for 4th embryo transfer
Due to my endometriosis the consultant suggested doing the frozen transfer using the long Day 21 FET HRT protocol, using
GnRH
analogue then estrogen medication and progesterone.

Employer not being supportive about endometriosis / invasion of privacy
I have just finished 6 months of a medically induced menopause (
GNRH
injections - which were awful in terms of side effects) and had another operation 2 weeks ago. I work in investment banking, very high pressure job and really long hours.

Zoladex (GnRH agonist) + simultaneous HRT - help!
- Is prescribing HRT add-back ONLY after laparoscopy then norm when using
GnRH
agonists? - Was I even prescribed the correct oral HRT? I am haunted by a memory of a clinician at the gynae dept saying "Oh no, they put you on the wrong one!".

Just wondered if anyone had a period after having the
GnRH
injection? I had my first injection on 17th October, on 30th October I have started a heavy painful period.

Should I go on Prostap/Zoladex?!
The surgeon said this was quiet bad and wants to put me on
GnRH
injections. Now my symptoms aren’t too bad (I started the mini pill a few months ago) and I’m lucky that at the moment they are fairly manageable so I don’t feel like I need intervention for pain relief.

I've just started
GNRH
agonist injections and my gyno has recommended that I see a dietician alongside treatment. Thanks for your help!

Anyone with experience of FWGE? TNVANS asked the same question 3 years ago, but now there is this paper on a pilot clinical trial.
We tested the nontoxic, readily available, inexpensive FWGE, together with the conventional treatment,
GnRH
analogue, in 36 CRPC patients.

Pre-lap medical treatment
Some surgeons like you to be on
GnRH
agonists (eg zoladex) to make surgery easier; others like to see inflammation and endo in all its glory. But there is no evidence either way so don't be pressured into having
GnRH
agonists prior to surgery against your will.

So near, but feeling so far
I then received a letter from my consultant a few months later to say that he recommended the total hysterectomy and that I start a course of
GNRH
injections once I have had an udated MRI.

?anyone know alternative options for out of stock Buserelin/Suprecur
I am in process of having treatment at a US clinic and they have advised to add in Buserelin known as Suprecur (
GnRH
analogue) into my treatment but it is out of stock in the UK. They have suggested several different other options which are either unavailable in the UK or out of stock.

Finally got a diagnosis
Long story short I was put on
GNRH
analogues and told that my only option was a hysterectomy. I moved to a BSGE hospital and got a second opinion. The care was much better. I finally had a cystoscopy and a laparoscopy. I feel validated with what has been found but also lost.
