Heart attack (Stemi) and unable to stent because of ectatic Coronary artery
Last August I had a STEMI. A heart attack which resulted in the complete blockage of the Right coronary artery. When they looked via the angiogram/angioplasty they found that the artery was ectatic. That means apparently that it is not uniform in cross section , and not smooth in end to end shape. They

Post CABG recovery
Hello, I hope everyone is well. I have a couple of questions for anyone who has trod the post-cardiac surgery path before me. I had a CABG on the 5th March and I am very happy with my recovery so far; I am walking for exercise and increasing my distance - although I wish it would warm up a bit. I'm

Low Blood Pressure
Anyone any thoughts on this issue. Had Triple Cabg and valve Repair. Collapsed with BP of 84/48. In hospital three days. Now home but BP still quite low. Went dizzy a couple of days ago - BP 92/54. On the discharge letter they referred to “heart failure”. Anyone any experience of this. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, My mum has been getting lots of hot and cold sweats since she had Quadrupled bypass surgery 11 weeks ago. These episodes of hot and cold sweats is happening day and night. She is also still having Palpitations but this isn't as bad as it was but it's happening mostly at nights and quiet

Legs with little feeling, anyone?
Just wondering if anyone has a similar issue with their legs. I am 4 and a bit months past surgery of CABG x4 and I still don’t have much feeling around the incisions in my lower legs. The scars are healing fine, but the pressure from swelling in the ankles makes it feel like I am wearing ski boots,

Sister back on ventilator
Hi, I'm new here but needed to get this off my chest. My sister has been in ICU since 28th January. She developed a deep wound infection about six weeks after a triple heart bypass. She was admitted to hospital for a few days but then developed sepsis. She was put on a ventilator and intubated for

So I’m thinking of doing this as a bucket list dream - let’s say before I reach 60- I’m 54 this year. Had quadruple heart bypass 2 years ago at 51- anyone know of someone who has done altitude things post heart issue?

How are you yold
Hi, can you please tell me how you are told it's your turn for the vaccine? My friend has a text. There's a link but doesn't have anything official on it. Local chemist say ignore as it's not her turn as she's 60( triple heart bypass last year and slightly over weight) so wondering if this is the reason

33, possible angina, and very anxious.
Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. I have had lots of troubling symptoms (rapid heart rate, chest tightness) over the last few months, and an abnormal 24 hour ECG tape. I had to wait ages for a cardiology appointment so I went ahead and saw someone privately, who has referred me for a CT angio, that

I’m looking for some reassurance please.
Four weeks ago I had quadruple heart bypass surgery, I am just at the start of week five post surgery and I’m struggling. The recovery is a lot slower and more challenging than I ever imagined. I feel permanently sick, can’t taste food, can no longer drink tea or coffee, am always tired and it takes

Unlucky 13 and minus 7’ outside!! 🥶
Today is 13 weeks after my heart bypass, unlucky for me a snowy, cold, icy start to WK2 Run1 of the C25K programme. 💪 I completed my run but my hands were frozen by the end!!! Managed the longer duration running periods OK but found it difficult to concentrate on the new breathing technique introduced

1 year heart bypass anniversary run
Hi, first time posting as only just discovered this site! It's my 1 year post double heart-bypass today and just finished my 5K for the day. Been good and bad days during my recovery but am still running and vertical. Am aiming for 10K and sub 30 minute 5K runs this year so may be asking for tips soon

Angina
Hi all, Can I ask what your angina pains you get, as I am having different pains recently like electric shock to the heart they only last for a second, the other night I had about 8, I took gtn and the pain did go eventually. My doctor at the hospital said that shooting pains are not a symptom of angina
