Normocytic Anemia,.
I have had 12 weekly B12 injections for a few years now. In February I discovered I have Normocytic anemia, and my gp told me that it occurs due to blood loss and my red cell count is low. I had a FIT test wwhich came back negative, which is great. But I am having a colonoscopy and gastrostomy

Rash
My hand started to ache one evening then the next evening I found a rash on my arm which has secondary lymphoedema I immediately thought cellulitis and started antibiotics, but I never had fever or went downhill as on other occasions. Advice needed
My Aunt had a mastectomy 4 years ago, she recently developed horrible weeping areas on the scar & a rash. The oncologist says it’s breast cancer cells but not melanoma. She has been having hormone injections for it but the area is spreading. Has anyone else experienced this & if so what was the best

Triple negative breast cancer with bone only mets
Anyone else out there with TNBC and oligometastatic bone Mets? What treatment did you get? I had 3 x stereotactic radiation and now nothing. Doctor says I have no “measurable disease “ so not eligible for any trials. Originally had 4 x TC chemo + double mastectomy and then 6 x gemcitabine + carboplatin

Lymphodoema in torso
Appear to have lymphodoema in my torso following diep flap & mastectomy surgery three years ago (as well as mildly in my arm). To have it in your torso (above bikini line) seems very unusual, does anyone else have this?

Hi there, I'm asking a couple of questions on behalf of my wife who has just been re diagnosed with cancer, 4 years after a mastectomy. She's been put on fulvestrant and paleociclib and wanted to know if a) she can still get her hair coloured and b) what's the groups advice on alcohol consumption. It's

Mastectomy or not?
Hi all, this is my first post. Have had OC for 19 months and I have also tested positive for the brca 2 gene. I think that I want to go for a preventative double mastectomy but I am dithering. I havent even mentioned this to my doctor but I am of the opinion that I should try and help myself as much

My husband has one metastatic tumour 4 yrs after his
gastrectomy
. It is in an awkward position and 6 months of standard chemo has had little effect and they’ve had to lower the dose of radiotherapy for fear of burning a hole in his bowel.

Anyone have Zometa infusions
Hello. I am 63 and 7 months post mastectomy, and have been on anastrazole since January. My oncologist has suggested I have Zometa infusions every 6 months. I understand there are downsides to consider, including jaw problems. I welcome all insight Thank you in advance!

Single mastectomy with implant reconstruction
Hi. I’m wondering if there is anyone on here who has undergone a single mastectomy with implant reconstruction who would be willing to share their experience post op and beyond? I am due to undergo this procedure, and am particularly keen to know how it is living with one natural breast and one reconstructed

I have hope
I am new and this is my first post. I had breast cancer 11 years ago at the age of 64. It was caught very early by routine mammogram and the surgeon was just going to remove the very small lump. I said I would feel safer if I had a mastectomy, and he agreed to that. Now the cancer has come back, this

Scans and questions
I have a question about CT scan results. I was diagnosed with MBC a year ago after being 5 years clear of breast cancer. I'm on Ibrance 125 mg and Faslodex shots. The cancer had spread to both sides of my neck, my sternum, and lung. I had a PET scan in January and the tumors had shrunk in my neck

Silicone or saline implants?
I am 60+ and had a double mastectomy and will have reconstruction. Looking for insight between saline or silicone implants. Is one more comfortable in the body? Any problems with either? If you had to choose again, which one would you choose and why? Thank you in advance

PICC line tips?
Hi lovely people! I’m 5 weeks post mastectomy and sentinel node removal for DCIS and 2 invasive ductal cancer tumours; both hormone receptor positive, one HER2 positive and the other HER2 negative. I start chemo at the beginning of May. The surgeon said no radiotherapy but my oncologist has since said

Vitamin B12 relationship with PD?
New data from South Korean indicates gastric cancer patients who underwent
gastrectomy
& received uninterrupted VitB12 supplementation had a decreased incidence of Parkinsons (0.86; 95% CI 0.75–0.98); significance lost after adjusting for smoking & BMI https://www.prd-journal.com/article/S1353-8020

Lupus and cancer
Oncologist was brilliant had done a lot of research into cancer with APS and Lupus. Opted for mastectomy to try and avoid having to have Chemo or Radiotherapy. He agreed it was better to avoid them if at all possible. Hopefully nothing shows up in Lymph nodes!
