Success stories with embryo donation
Hi everyone, we are about to have a transfer with an embryo donor, just wondering if there are any success stories? We already have a beautiful daughter who is shortly turning 3 from our second ICSI cycle. We have had three miscarriages and completed 6 ICSI cycles. I am also 43 in September so

ICU survivor 7 months later
Hi, Just to introduce myself to this fabulous group, I am a survivor of ICU from January this year. I attended an outpatient appointment expecting to have dressings applied to my foot and possibly having a cast within 24 hours I was on the operating table having a life-saving operation. Unbeknown to

MODERNA SPIKEVAX (2022) COVID Vaccine Availability Autumn 2023 Uk
Hi all, As anyone had a Moderna COVID vaccine (2022 version Bivalent Spikevax) this autumn in the UK, I have a clinical need to avoid Pfizer and that is all that is being sent out at present. I have been in touch with UKHSA, NHS England, local Vaccine authority, Haematologist and GP without any joy.

covid vaccine
My Hematologist suggested I not take the flu or covid vaccine. She is concerned it will trigger another episode of low platelets. I had been in remission for 15 months last year and I thought I had beaten ITP. I got the vaccines last year then about 2 months later my platelets were back down to 1.

Week 9 run done
It was bitterly cold, windy and snowing a bit when I forced myself out yesterday afternoon. 30 minutes running, but I didn't feel euphoric like I did with the last two runs of week 8 - to be honest it felt like bloody hard work š And my usual ploy of running in one direction and walking all the way

Coughing badly after virus ...
Hi allI had a really nasty cold/cough which has left me with a bad cough and a flare up of asthma. Currently on holiday in India and although I am taking Fostair with a a couple of shots of ventolin inbetween, the cough is not dissipating. It's particularly bad at night. The pollution in India is bad

mature eggs vs collected
hi, I had my third egg collection today. Iām not sure what I expected. Iām 37 with AMH of 6.5 and follicle count of 11. The consultant mentioned he hoped for 10 or 11 eggs when discussing as we were considering banking. Anyway a lot of tears later (maybe the anaesthetic) but we were updated 12 hours

Lung nodule
I had a CT scan in hospital while being treated for pneumonia. I understand it could be due to infections or scaring in my lungs. It is also quite common (35%) for people to have these. I going back for an x ray in early January.

Two rounds. 7 eggs. ONE EARLY BLASTOCYST. failed fresh transfer. Should we DNA fragmentation test before moving to the next stage?
Hey Everyone! I wonder if it is a good idea to get a DNA fragmentation and oxidisation test done on husbands sperm. I donāt know the recent figures off hand but they were pretty bad - we were having ICSI. The embryologist seems to think the sperm looked okā¦.and blamed the eggs...but Im so not convinced

Missed miscarriage after IVF (ICSI)
Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on here. I donāt really have a question, just thought it might help me to share my most recent fertility heartbreak with this community. We found out about a year ago that it would not be possible for my husband and I to conceive naturally due to male factor

Underactive Thyroid Experiences?
I have had 1 failed cycle of ICSI. Since then I have had lots of tests to do everything possible for next round. 1 test that wasnāt done in clinic and has flagged up seperately is that my thryroid is 4.05. After doing research i believe under 2.5 is the magic number for pregnancy. As a result of this
