What now?
T-11 vertebral compression fracture ( osteoporotic/insufficiency fracture ) should I be concerned? Is this the result of 3-1/2 years of ADT + Zytiga??

Has Anyone Tried Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) - for expedited healing from radiation induced bone fractures & unhealing wounds?
I’m considering HBOT (defined below) to help heal my broken pelvic & sacrum
fractures
due to radiation weakening the bones.

how to transition from xtandi to Apalutamide?
A change is suggested by Dr. However, Since Xtandi has a 1/2 life about 6 days, from the day you stop the amount of Xtandi starts decaying. So, Apalutamide has a half life of about 3 days, but has a fast absorption rate. This means , if you stop xtandi on day 1 and start Apalutamide on day 2, there is

I have had a reasonably uneventful PMR journey so far 🤞. Diagnosed April 2020 slow pred reduction from 15mg now reducing 5.5mg/5m. I also take lansoprazole15mg/ vitamin D 800iu as prescribed by my GP since first diagnosis ( she said my diet was high enough in calcium) and following advice on this invaluable

My 18 month follow up scans...........except for the jaw infection and subsequent redo of a failed root canal, which is painful, not bad.
CT no new mets Impression 1. Interval improvement in patient known widespread osseous metastatic disease as describe above. 2. New focal uptake in left mandible could be related to recent dental procedure versus periodontal disease, however as patient is reportedly on Zometa, biphosphonate induced

Running again after operation
I’ve read several posts about starting to run after an illness but I’m not sure if the advice is valid for post operative running. I have completed C25K a couple of times since Jan 2021 but have had long breaks between for various reasons. I got to week 7 in August of this year then had time away followed

Help re Doctors appointment after Dexa scan
Hi all, I was prescribed AA some years ago but only took it for a while as I really didn’t like the idea of it. A while ago I requested a Dexa scan from my GP as it had been 4 years since I had one and I wanted to check it hadn’t got much worse. I’ve now had a letter asking me to go in next week to

fragile spine and multiple fractures
One of the GPs finally decided to order Xrays etc which show I have 5 vertebral
fractures
. A DEXA shows my hip score as OK, below osteopenic, but my spine is fragile. I have reluctantly begun Risedronate treatment. I am terrified of more
fractures

Referred pain from back
I have had
fractures
a couple of years ago at L1, L3 and L5 (as well as T10, T11, T12. Two years ago, when I got out of bed I had severe pain and then 2 years getting over that so I am assuming that was the L1, as that is the last one to fracture in the lumbar area.

Xtandi vs. Zytiga
I was diagnosed last December. Some bone mets, no soft tissue issues. PSA 365. Firmagon for a month, then Lupron since. Also Zytiga w/Prednisone. PSA went down to 1. Two months ago my liver enzymes started to rise. Took a one month vacation from Zytiga. Liver enzymes came back to normal. Resumed

UPDATE ON BROKEN ANKLE
After waiting nearly 2 years for an appointment with the Pain Management Team at my local hospital, what a complete farce it was, During the 3 years of a broken ankle, I have seen many specialists all saying that I had the condition Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, but to get it verified I had to see

Could we switch to Zytiga now to make hormone therapy work longer?
I've read the article that Tall_Allen included in one of the posts: https://www.prostatecancer.news/2019/12/optimal-chemohormonal-sequencing-for.html "After cross-over, PSA was reduced by more than 30% in 36% of those who had Xtandi-second vs only in 4% of those who had Zytiga-second" If I had known

What Do You Make of This?
https://www.redjournal.org/article/S0360-3016(22)03349-1/fulltext I had a Gleason 4 tumor (2 cm x 1 cm) with a PSA in the 20's. Is this saying that targeted treatment with no or limited ADT would have been sufficient, especially if HDR brachytherapy were used with IMRT?
