Dairy (including milk, kefir, yogurt etc.) actually increases bone fractures?
Many doctors and articles seem to tout dairy for the calcium to help build bone density, yet I am reading more articles that seem to reinforce the studies which find that not only does it not help, it is actually detrimental and increases risk of fracture and even Parkinsons disease. Anyone else?

Have I Reinvented Myself During PMR, or has Universe Done It For Me?
I have PMR, osteoporosis and 9 vertebral
fractures
. During this roller coaster, I've developed the "one day at a time" approach to life in general, because every day brings something new with it (good and less than good). I retired once pre 2021, but not for long.

Has anyone ever heard cracking/popping sounds in your spine and did it end up meaning that your bones were breaking or fracturing?
I'm fearful that my back is broken or fractured because of my history of three spinal
fractures
in the past and I know that I have severe osteoporosis.

Sacral insufficiency fractures
Thanks so much to everyone who replied to my previous post! I feel encouraged by your good wishes and suggestions as to possible ways forward. I'm away from home at the moment but next week I'm definitely going to get back in contact with the specialist gynaecology nurses to see if there is any ongoing

Sacral Insufficiency Fractures
It took over six months and several appointments with nurse practitioner, GP, 3 different types of physio and finally a scan to diagnose Sacral Insufficiency
Fractures
that were definitely linked to the radiotherapy.

Compression fractures
Hi two years I badly hurt my back lifting a large garden bin. As it was during the pandemic I had a telephone consultation and assessment. To cut a long story I have had pain in my lower back ever since and is getting worse. Recent x rays have shown that I have compression fracture in two of my lumber

do fractures heal while on prolia ?
my Mum had a scan for possible fracture, had a scheduled dose of prolia, then at endo appointment, endo said she has a compression fracture. every day i find i have another question about this wretched drug, i probably should've called endo before the shot, but his instructions weren't specific.

REMS scan and strontium citrate
I now have a dilemma, as I'd like to maintain my scores without relying on strontium citrate, but I've read that bone density may decline fairly rapidly if strontium is stopped (not the same risk as Prolia (denosumab), as it doesn't lead to rebound
fractures
).

Is it really necessary to take Alendronic Acid with these results?
If the patient
fractures
after 1 year of treatment with a T-score -3 aged 65 or a T-score of -4 refer to rheumatology to consider future treatment options in the osteoporotic clinic HUTDG/OST. The patient has been given lifestyle advice on bone health.
