I had a few
fractures
b4. Wrists, ankles etc. I have osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. To cut it short. I have been prescribed AA also Colecaliferol. After reading all reviews on here, I am wondering if its worth taking! The side effects look like they outweigh the benefits.

Lost height does funny things!
Six years ago I had 8 spinal
fractures
, thought to be because the local little hospital had not realised you don’t just stop Prolia without offering relay medication. Life changed over night and I’ve come to accept giving up the work I loved and the resulting disability.

Getting off Prolia
Hi all. My first time here, typing that is. I’ve read a lot. Thank you for your stories. Now for mine. (I’m 67 years old and reasonably fit) I sustained a compression fracture of L2 back in August of 21 while stupidly helping to carry a very heavy item up a flight of steps while walking backwards and

Synovial chondromatosis / orthopaedic surgeon visit

Acute kidney disease
His results have indicated low BP and high cholesterol at risk of cardiovascular disease and acute kidney disease. .His mobility is bad due to spinal
fractures
that won't heal due to lack of nutrient in his body. He still drinks to excess and not eating or taking care of his appearance.

Eligard Injection in Arm?!
My father has always received his Eligard shots in his abdomen. For whatever reason, the nurse who injected him gave it to him in his arm. Is this a cause for concern? I already asked his oncologist in an email but no response. I looked up that Lupron is given intramuscularly but Eligard is subcutaneous

Help interpreting summary of DEXA scan, please?
I had a DEXA san in January 2022, 18 months after being diagnosed and starting on Pred. By then my usual GP was away. I was just told I had osteopenia. I’m 65. For several months I wasn’t even advised what to do about it until I spoke again to my regular doc, who prescribed soluble ADCAL D3.

Study finds existing drugs may prevent bone metastasis in breast cancer
The researchers explain that over 75% of patients with metastatic breast cancer suffer from bone metastases, which destroy bone tissues, causing
fractures
and pain. Diagnosis of bone metastasis usually occurs when the disease cannot be cured.

radiation whack-a-mole?
In 2021 I had cyberknife radiation to new lesions in spinal vertebrae L3 and T9, which knocked the cancer back but also weakened the bone and led to compression
fractures
, to harden the bone I'm now also getting an Xgeva (bisphospehante) injection every 90 days, along with a ton of calcium every day.

Prolia 1yr Update
I wanted to share my Prolia results. One year ago my DEXA scan showed Osteopenia in the left femoral neck (T -1.1) and I started Prolia. I chose not to take Vitamin D or calcium as they were within normal range. My DEXA scan a year later showed a 3.5 % increase in bone density in my hip with a T of -
