Xtandi and price tag
Hi, I just had radical prostatectomy 3/23. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer with EPE. I started on Firmagon and my doctor ordered Xtandi. My question is …how can anyone afford Xtandi? My copay is 3300 dollars, more than my SS check. I’m checking with my MD to see if I can wait until Jan. ( to get

Firmagon vs Lupron vs Orgovyxx
Is there any difference in cost/effectiveness? My urologist wanted me to start hormone therapy with Firmagon, but my radiation oncologist wanted me to go on Orgovyxx instead...any thoughts? Thank you!

I’ve got non-traumatic
fractures
that haven’t healed after almost 5 months on crutches and it’s been suggested I give it a try. Anyone know if it’s contraindicated? Or had great success with it?

Running and osteopenia
As a runner who has been recently diagnosed with osteopenia in the wake of a stress fracture, I would like to learn more about fracture risk and running volume, also whether I should be looking at different shoes.

osteoporosis pain.
I’ve had seven spinal
fractures
from my waist up. The T12 being the worse and most severe. I just wondered if anyone has the same and can they do much? I went shopping a couple of days ago for Christmas cards. I thought I’ll get them all because I don’t want to keep going out.

Long survivors with ADT + Xtandi (Enzulatamide)
5 years after RPE and RT my PSA is rising again. I am advised to start ADT + Xtandi. Who are longest still on this combination without getting castration resistant?

sarms
I have been thinking about trying ostarine for my locally advanced prostate cancer, osteoporosis and sarcopenia but I have been reading that sarms do not suppress p/c growth.

de novo metastatic prostate cancer
hello, I was diagnosed in march with a very aggressive and advanced case, with many skeletal lesions - high volume/high risk. I’ve been on degarelix/Firmagon and Abiraterone for the past 3.5 months and it seems to be working well - just had my 3 month scans. And the terrible fatigue is under control

More confused
I wasn't initially worried that my TSH remained the same (even though I had reduced my dose by a third of a grain in March) but now I have read that a TSH of below 0.04 can pose a risk of loss of BMD and

8/4/2023 Update
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated. 4/4 PSA dropped to 0.24 which indicated the lesion was knocked out and I would be hormone sensitive and stay on Zytiga. Yea

low back problems
I've been on Eligard and abiraterone+prednisone for slightly more than a year, out of a planned 2 years. I had 44 sessions of proton beam therapy ending 4/7/23. My PSA has been undetectable since early in my ADT regimen, and remained so as recently as 2 weeks ago. I began to have low back pain, sometimes

Rejoining the world - An update on my cancer experience as a patient with cirrhosis
I was having very painful time with back muscle cramps and had a fall which resulted in 3 compression
fractures
. While dealing with that I saw my PCP who identified that I was having a critical calcium event.

On slow drop but having back pain again. Pred withdrawal or DOMS.
I have been seeing a very experienced physio since summer because of disc problems. ( Also recently ct scan revealed 4 or 5 compression
fractures
in spine...mainly minor). The exercises helped a lot, both sorting my back and building up muscle strength gradually.

A week of withdrawal from running
Well Monday last week was the week we found out how well my shoulder had healed! In the words of the consultant it’s tried to heal it’s self but it has healed! After 6months it should have unified but it hasn’t! So now we are going to try ultrasound therapy for the next 3 - 6 months to get it to heal

Compression fracture on T 10
My recent Whole body scan and CT scan for PCa ( diagnosed in 2016 with T3N0M1, after which I had radiation, chemotherapy and have been on hormone therapy since), showed a compression fracture on my T10 where I had SBRT radiation 2 years ago. My scans earlier in the year also showed a small fracture

Evenity—-Looking for user input (good or bad).
Due to multiple vertebrae
fractures
and a low DEXA score (-3.1), I have been on Prolia shots every 6 months for almost 3 years. I have seen some improvement, but not much. As a result, my doctor would now like me to switch to Evenity.

Night sweats etc.
I have to add that I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis, and didn't know I had this condition until MRA scan found
fractures
in my spine and pelvis which I have been in agony with, even though I'm on morphine.
