PMR -Dry Mouth-Sjogrens Syndrome
The only control for the dry mouth is chewing sugar free gum to help produce saliva, thorough cleaning of the teeth with high
fluoride
tooth-paste 3 times a day, and flossing, to minimize bacteria build up, not to mention lot more regular visits to the dentist to remove plaque build up and stop decay

Fluoride in food and soft drinks which is derived from fluoridated water in production.
Recent information and past information indicates that
fluoride
in the water can damage the thyroid gland. As some areas in the uk have
fluoride
added to water where there are factories producing soft drinks and foods, it is likely some foods will have
fluoride
which is not listed.

Who'd of thunk it?
They also ordered a CT / Pet scan with NaF (sodium
fluoride
). Previous scans had shown no bone issues other than arthritis, but soft tissue scans in 2011 and 2013 showed 4 lymph nodes that were enlarged and seemed to be metastatic. I was classified as M1 metastatic.

Mainly teeth pain but other problems in mouth also
The girl cleaned my teeth and I had a tray in mouth type
fluoride
treatment done. Never had one before. Since then I have had trouble with basically all my teeth hurting. It kills me when they come together and touch. Not sensitive to hot or cold.

Diet changes for Hashimoto's
I have a question about
fluoride
. We have no
fluoride
in our water and our dentist told me to buy salt with
fluoride
to keep the family's teeth healthy. Wende says that you should not have
fluoride
and iodine, which is added to the salt I use - should I stop using it?

You really do not need to drink 8 glasses of water a day to stay healthy.
Check out your tube of toothpaste for 'sodium
fluoride
' or just '
fluoride
' (which is more apt for confusing the public) and find out what this dangerous substance is.

Addition of fluoride in water supplu
As some areas add
fluoride
to the water without public knowledge, are there any research papers on the amount of
fluoride
put in the water, and the effects on the thyroid? Does the public have the right to say no to
fluoride
in water?

Question about iodine
"
Fluoride
and iodine are both halogens.
Fluoride
, the negative ion of the element fluorine, easily displaces iodine in the body because it is much lighter and therefore more reactive.

Starting to make a change
Going to avoid
fluoride
now after my reading (no tea, tap water and changing toothpaste) and looking into if we have any aluminum cookware. I do have digestive/stomach issues and had a food intolerance test (sent hair strands away) which said some things that made sense.

First step in the right direction...I hope!
I've also made the effort to avoid
fluoride
. Any other advice? I'd really like to quit my (very stressful) job or at least go part time/into a new career but that's just a dream for the foreseeable future :-)

My dentist wants me using something with
fluoride
, but I am willing to try any natural / homemade option (even without
fluoride
), providing it works.

Foods that react with Levo
Foods quoted were soya, broccoli and also
fluoride
toothpaste. Can anyone confirm this and maybe tell me of anything else I should be avoiding. I have a blood test once a year but never see the GP

Thyroid iodine and essential co factors
In addition as was pointed out earlier
fluoride
, chlorine and other halides can interfere with the uptake of iodine. So best to start drinking water which filters out these and other toxic substances. below is Dr Dean's estimate of the co factors involved: Here is Dr.
