New to AFib and having Anxiety and Depression
After finally being diagnosed with AFib last month, I am currently on Diltiazem 1xday 180mg, Eliquis 2xday 5mg, and
Flecainide
2xday 50mg. I have to say that after reading about
Flecainide
on this site and how it helped, I mentioned it to my cardio doc and he prescribed it for me!

At my last consultation I had the bisoprolol increased to 1,25 twice a day , and
Flecainide
to 50 twice daily . I take an extra
Flecainide
when I’m having an attack which can bring me back into sr after awhile sometimes. I’d be so grateful to hear from you with thoughts , advice ..

Which magnesium supplement?
I have recently started on
flecainide
(50mg am and 100mg at night) and dipping in and out of AF. Dr Gupta recommended I try Magnesium glycinate as this has the least negative effects on the bowel and worth trying. Would appreciate your thoughts as to what you take and what brands.

SVT AVNRT ablation
AVNRT successfully ablated and was told that I no longer need to take
Flecainide
or my calcium channel blocker but I have to remain on Apixaban. It's worth asking to be considered for a cancellation. if you are in a queue.

So after just over 3 weeks of being in AF it seems that after 48 of
flecainide
I am back in NSR. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Flecainide and thyroxine
I posted on here recently about taking
flecainide
with or without food? I think the advice is on an empty stomach or one hour before eating. For those of you on thyroxine how do you manage this in the morning?

On Flecainide - what annual tests are advisable?
Literally thousands of people must be on the powerful drug
Flecainide
, but it is not clear to me what the advisable annual tests are if you are being cautious?

Migraine and AFib and Flecainide
My cardiologist, who is also a friend (how lucky am I) says that
Flecainide
can cause headaches and visual disturbances and I do get little tiny flashes or movements at the edge of my vision...views as always gratefully received

Nervous and scared about this whole AF thing
I’m already increased to the highest dose of
flecainide
(150mg twice a day) & I take a beta blocker & Pradaxa. My EP said that “theoretically” I could probably have the
Flecainide
dose increased to stay in good control if need be.

Do I have Tinnitus?
I thought at first it was my medication (Bisoprolol and
Flecainide
) for AF. Does anyone in this group have similar experience or any advice?

Changing timing of increased flecainide dosage
My EP has recommended I take an extra 50mg flec at night (currently on 50mg x2). Does anyone know if I can change the extra dosage from night to morning or can it not be changed once I start? Total dosage remains the same at 150mg. Thank you all

Treatment for Atrial Flutter
No matter what I did (relaxing, extra metoprolol and my usual dose of
flecainide
) nothing changed the rate - it stayed between 88-92. I spoke with my EPs nurse today who said that atrial flutter will frequently lock in at a certain rate and that it's very resistive to metoprolol and
flecainide
.

Flecainide and liver change
I’ve been on
flecainide
for almost 3 weeks. I had some kidney and liver bloods run and all the liver functions are now outside of normal range. Has anyone experienced this? This has been the only change so presume it has to be flec. Bloods to be run again in 4 weeks.
