Apixoban dosage.
I also take
Flecainide
and my AF is very well under control. The problem is the dosage of Apixoban. I suffer badly from side effects with most tablets as I am not a very big person. The cardiologist agreed that I could go on a dosage of 2.5 mg twice a day as my weight is only 52 kg.

PAF
I tried
flecainide
50 2/day but it did not change the frequency of occurrence . Would an increase of dosage help or just switch toPIP

Flecainide stopped, early days but so far so good
I had a successful cardioversion August 2020 and remained on
flecainide
50mg bd and apixaban. At my final check up in March 2021 my cardiologist said I could try to gradually reduce and then come off
flecainide
Nov/Dec 2021.

It's not as bad as before the ablation but I wonder whether to start the
Flecainide
? I will be talking to my GP later today and have an appointment with the Electro Cardiologist on 28th Feb. Thanks for any advice.

Pacemaker and Flecainide
My Dr. felt he wanted me to started
Flecainide
and put in a pacemaker because my heart rate was so slow. Has anyone else went this route and how has that worked for you

Post ablation: short bursts of arryhthmia and odd sensations.
7 weeks after AF ablation, and on a daily dose of
flecainide
and bisoprolol, yet I still get odd bursts of irregular beats (some fast, some weak - never longer than a couple of seconds).

Constant PACs
My EP put me on
Flecainide
125mg per day. I also was on Atenolol 175mg per day and was doing good for the last 2 months and I woke up one Monday with these horrible PACs. They’ve been going steady now for the last week and a half.

I jinxed myself 3 months after ablation with EP Doc yesterday!
He said cold air, stress on heart from shoveling and the fact I cut my
Flecainide
in half dose was culprit. Now know better. I wont brag about how good I feel next time! Nor shovel heavy snow! lol

Lichen planus
I was looking at potential treatments which wouldn’t interact with my maintenance doses of
flecainide
and bisoprolol and this site gave some really helpful answers. However, I had an appointment with my dentist today and she advised that she was of the opinion that I had lichen planus of the mouth.

Flecainide - long term use
Hello, I have been on
Flecainide
for about six months and it has worked very well. I was just wondering what is the maximum length of time one can stay on this drug. What are other people's experiences? Can this be for life? Thanks

Flecainide daily without beta blocker
I was under the impression from reading on here that most people take a beta blocker with
Flecainide
to help prevent other more serious heart rhythm problems? Interested in hearing from others on daily
Flecainide
only?

An update on this pain-in-the-bum condition
I have developed peripheral neuropathy it would seem as a result of the
Flecainide
over the last two years which may take 3-6 months to resolve, a bit like having cotton wool pads in the soles of my feet.

Replacement for bisoprolol but big dilemma
I’m on
flecainide
50mg twice a day and bisoprolol 1.25mg once a day. I’ve been suffering from fairly acute itchy skin (nipples and my back which seemed to start about two to three months after starting my maintenance dosage).

Magnesium taurate & Vit C
I am taking
flecainide
( 2 a.m & one p.m) & when I do get an episode I take an extra
Flecainide
(no more than 4 in 24hrs) & I have found that the length of time that takes to put me back to sinus rhythm is also less than it used to be.

Update
Well had it done yesterday, they used heat this time , I had an episode whilst under that was bad and they used
flecainide
intravenously to calm it down, don’t know if it will be ok this time but I’m positive. I feel better after this one than the last as my body feels better.

Resting HR increase after ablation, but why?
I’ve been on Edoxaban blood thinners, rhythm control
Flecainide
and calcium channel blocker Verapamil since ablation - I was on none of these before ablation. My understanding is that the meds should reduce HR but does that include RHR?

Fourth time a char?
“Controlled” with metoprolol tartrate 50-75mg 2x/day plus
flecainide
50mg2x/day … and, of course, rivaroxaban. That lasted 15 months and -wham- back into flutter. Good diet, good outdoor exercise, low stress, lots of yoga, no booze, no coffee, 68, etc.

AF episode
I took a
flecainide
straight away. It was all over the place to begin with and is now 180.bpm. My surgeon constantly tells me that this fine. Just rest and eventually it will return to normal. I just need some reassurance and kind words as I get very stressed out when this happens. Thank you.
