In March 22 Hereford Cardios reduced Digoxin to 62.5mg od and added in
Flecainide
50mg bd with the choice of this or ablation, I also have a leaky mitral valve which was an 'incidental finding'. I havent felt the best on this mix but can't really put my finger on why.

Does anyone take Flecainide once a day?
I don't mean PiP, I'm talking about a regular daily dose, such as 1 x 50mg or 100mg. Also, has your cardiologist agreed to it?

Can You Damage Your Ablation Work By Over-Exertion After 5 Months?
I hope I didn't because, since back on the low dose of
flecainide
, I have been doing very well. Thank you.

Ectopics
I have recently been given the option to begin
Flecainide
for my ectopic heartbeats or learn to live with them (I find this very difficult). I've had open heart surgery but although successful, it didn't stop the ectopics at all. I've been on bisoprolol which I don't feel has helped.

ablation update as promised
Apparently all ok but needed
Flecainide
50mg as I had frequent bursts of multi focal atrial ectopics. Had a few issues as needed extensive ablation but block achieved. Took a little longer than he had first thought but as I cannot tolerate Bisosporol I have been put on

Stomach Bloating, Persistent Heart Palpitations, Atrial Fibrillation
In 2018 I had another private consultation with a cardiologist who was horrified to discover that I had taken
Flecainide
for 12 years stating that long-term use can cause other serious heart arythmias -so I was to stop taking it immediately!!

moderate mitral regurgitation
My EP has me on
Flecainide
for A Fib but read you shouldn’t take it if your heart is not structural sound. Does moderate mitral regurgitation qualify as not having a structural sound heart. Tried to look it up and thought leaky valves qualify as a structural problem.

flecainide
hi all, spent 9.50 hours in A&E last night as
flecainide
didn’t work as a PIP, had to have a drip and a Bisoprolol that I normally have at bedtime! Has this happened to any one else! Feel absolutely shattered now?

Hi Folks, I've just been for my second part of the heart stress test as the consultant wanted to know if I could take
flecainide
whilst I wait for my appointment to get another ablation.

Is it ok to stay on Flecainide now back in Sinus
Hi all, I'm new here! I'm waiting for a Cardioaversion in 2 weeks and have been on Flec and Metropolol and Ampixaban for 3 weeks for Paromymal AF. I usually excerscise my way out of AF and over the last 25 years I get it once every few years. This time Doc says your 64 years old lets try drugs first

My Story and I'm thinking someone can relate?
I'm in the ER and they manage to convert me with cardiazem intravenous, told me to go back on my
flecainide
and sent me home. I call the cardiologist office and they told me to come in earlier than planned.

Flecainide and Bisoprosol
Cardi explained that due to pregnancy and the adverse effects, taking both
flecainide
and bisoprolol was causing my whole cardiovascular system to slow dangerously down and pause.

Any tips for taking regular medication when changing time zones?
I take (among other things) Apixaban
Flecainide
which are supposed to be at regular - ish 12 hour intervals. 8am and 8pm work best for me. I'm wondering how to adjust, or if it really matters? I will check with the GP - if I can see them - or a pharmacist, but does anyone have any tips?

Should I switch from Riveroxaban to Apixaban?
I'm a 64 yr old male and have paroxysmal AF. 3 years ago my cardiologist put me on Riveroxaban as well as Flecainide.I have not had any issues with Riveroxaban but seeing all the comments,I was wondering whether I should switch to Apixaban given that it is better for gastric bleeding.

Sat with my box of Flecainide feeling nervous…..
So im 43, had a AF attack in Jan 2021, blue lighted to hospital with a irregular heart rate of 210 bpm, given Flec, and returned to NSR, and was went home. I’ve only had 1 other episode since then (last week, felt a flutter and then my heart raced to 155 bpm, and settled within 2 hours). I’ve had ECGs
