dosing changed
My
Flecainide
, bisoprolol and warfarin stay the same. I take calcium and vitamin d daily on medical advice. I eat healthily and my diet is as consistent as possible. We eat a mix of meat, veg and vegan. I don’t drink alcohol as it messes with bisoprolol. Don't smoke. Try to walk every day.

Amlodipine and Flecainide
I have been prescribed by GP to take Amlodipine for high blood pressure whilst taking Fleacainide for AF. I have read this can be dangerous, is this the case?

Flecainide
The
flecainide
is effective but I'm wondering if the increase in episodes and the
flecainide
are connected. I'll phone the arrhythmia nurse on Monday and let her know what's going on, but I'm not sure if I should contact my consultant.

Anyone else get neurothapy from taking Flecainide?
I’ve been taking
Flecainide
for 18 months with no obvious side effects but in the last 10 days I have been getting neuropathy in my legs and sometimes in my arms. I am also on Tamoxifen and it may be that it is that but the medics think it is as a result of drug toxicity.

Permanent bloating with continuous palpitations
I have an appointment with my cardiologist on 16th of this month (I am on
Flecainide
for AF which was recently increased from 100mg to 200mg per day and my Bisoprolol 2.5mg withdrawn)and in desperation phoned but had to leave a message-his secretary phoned me today and said he is aware of my problem

back in AF
back in AF early hours of this morning, PIP taken,(
flecainide
). Not worked - never does, but thought I would try again! Cardioverted in October, so didn’t think it would start up again so soon! Don’t want to go to A&E but will give it a few more hours to see if it stops!

Is it better to put up with ectopics ( around 1% burden) or take a daily dose of Flecainide to (almost) eliminate them?
If I take 100mg
Flecainide
twice daily, it pretty much eliminates all my ectopics (lower doses of
Flecainide
don't make too much of a difference). I've been considering coming off
Flecainide
and just putting up with the ectopics - does anyone have any thoughts on this strategy?

Results of Exercise Before Bed Afib Experiment- Plus idea about 'Afib Citizen Science Projects' for forum members
I do not take any medications (I do have
flecainide
on hand just in case I can't control the Afib at night and am exhausted). I now use an exercise bike nightly, starting at about 70bpm I get my HR up to 115bpm (45bpm more than the resting HR) and then lay down to sleep within 10 minutes.

Do I need an Ablation ?
Plus
Flecainide
100mg twice a day. Also not prescribed for AF but on Atorvastatin 20mg one daily, started about same time as Bisoprolol. My AF is persistent & was first noted about 9 -10 month ago. I have now been offered & am currently on the waiting list for an Ablation.

Error with meds
I am fine taking
flecainide
and blood thinner since I take this 12 hourly anyway. I know additional steroids also won't hurt me. But what do I do with bisoprolol? I take 7.5mgs usually in the morning. Yesterday I took missed dose 12 hours late!

AF diagnosis and medication side effects
I’m now taking
Flecainide
& Apixaban to manage the condition Whilst I wait to have an Ablation procedure. I’m feeling really fatigued and head feels ‘foggy’. Is this normal with AF?

Got the Second Opinion
The ONLY reason he could see for me getting it would be "just because you don't want to keep taking medication but there's no reason why you cannot keep on with the
flecainide
". He is still sending me to the electrophysiologist, so we can meet.

I am trying to hold AF episodes with
Flecainide
whilst I wait for my pacemaker to be fitted. However, we have grandson’s wedding to attend in Provence in the meantime and
Flecainide
not really doing it.

Changing symptoms
I use
flecainide
as a PIP and that stops the episodes usually within the hour. Historically episodes were always around 2am but they're now happening anytime except in the night.

Sotalol instead of Flecainide and Bisoprolol
But they've also replaced the
Flecainide
and Bisoprolol with Sotalol. What difference will this make?

PVC's - when to seek further medical advice?
I know my
flecainide
dose is faily low, bit I get the feeling my GP will simply suggest increasing the dosage. I am aware if the pro-arrythmic properties and feel a bit hesitant. Are PVCs really as harmless as many advocate? Am I in any danger?
