Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
Oncologist put Dad on
Enzalutamide
- been on it for 6 cycles - tolerated well but his PSA has gone from 76 to 87 in one week. So
Enzalutamide
has started to become 'ineffective'.

Good news for mCRPC (hopefully), phase 2
And here we go: "mCRPC patients who have relapsed or are refractory to androgen receptor signalling inhibitors (ARSIs) such as apalutamide, darolutamide, abiraterone and
enzalutamide
are included in the study." https://www.clinicaltrialsarena.com/news/oncternal-patient-prostate-cancer/

Pinostilbene inhibits the Enz-resistant CRPC cell line by inhibiting AR variant 7
in any event if you are failing on
enzalutamide
or any PCa warrior you probably should take pterostilbene.

Enzalutamide any advice/tips for dealing with side effects
Now doctors are suggesting that possible option is to switch onto Xtandi/
Enzalutamide
. Anyone in the same or similar situation. What are the main side effects of
Enzalutamide
and does anyone have advice or tips with dealing with side effects of this drug. Any advice would be much appreciated.

How long to Castrate Resistance: ADT+/- ARSI
Another measure is PSA progression which is available for all groups as a proxy for regimen failure: This is 2.3% (8/355) for ADT+E combo; 26% (93/358) for ADT mono; and 10% (37/355) for
Enzalutamide
monotherapy. Paul/MateoBeach

More Evidence Linking ADT for PCa to Adverse Neurocognitive Effects -Meta-analysis shows increased risk of dementia, Parkinson's, depression
The risk was even higher in men treated with newer androgen receptor signaling inhibitors (ARSIs), but the association was not consistent across the ARSI class: increased risk with
enzalutamide
(Xtandi) and apalutamide (Erleada) but decreased risk with abiraterone (Zytiga).

Could I try BAT to restore sensitivity to previously used antiandrogen treatments.
I failed Abiraterone and SOC doesn't allow the switch to
Enzalutamide
. I was reading on the use of BAT to resensitize mCRPC. Would this be a therapy that could work or is it too late now that I have failed. I know its not SOC but I am running out of choices and looking for some clarity.

enzalutamide dosing
I have ealrly stage 4 prostate cancer, have been on lupron for just over 4 months, and
enzalutamide
Xtandi for just under 4 months. Not enjoying the side effects of 160 mg I reduced my dosage to 80 mg and tolorate it a little better.

The Science is Coming
Good to see the mini AZD5069 trial with
enzalutamide
offering another route to taming the beast. I am no scientist but as I understand it the target is myeloid white blood cells which can act to fuel tumours.

Post Degaralix
I know it’s doing it’s thing, along with
enzalutamide
but feeling my quality of life balance is tipping to far the other way. Hoping I’ll feel differently by the end of today.

Hospitalizations Among Veterans Treated for Metastatic Prostate Cancer With Abiraterone or Enzalutamide
This study compares hospitalizations among patients treated initially with abiraterone versus
enzalutamide
. Total rate of hospitalization increased 22% for abiraterone compared to a 3% increase for
enzalutamide
in the 12 months after ARPI initiation (P < .0001).

ADT or not?
Hi, i have Stage 4 PCA, Gleason 5+4 so I am on Degaralix and
Enzalutamide
. I tend to refer to this treatment as ADT as shorthand because to my mind they both reduce testosterone. I wonder if I’m misusing ADT or does it matter?

Very promising trial!
They were given a combination of AZD5069, an experimental drug that prevents white blood cells from being dragged inside tumours, and
enzalutamide
, a hormone therapy commonly used to treat prostate cancer.

Switching from Abi to Enza?
My father has become pre-diabetic now and the doctor has advised to switch to
Enzalutamide
as it has fewer side effects. I wanted to check if anyone else did something like this (switching to Enza when Abi is still working), and whether you think this is a good idea? Many thanks in advance.
