Success with PSMA-lutamide
I took a couple of days off and took diuretics, then tried some
enzalutamide
samples. This time I had the same swelling PLUS cramping in my hands! Again, took a couple of days off, and then went on darolutamide.

Introduction and asking for help interpreting latest scan results and thoughts on future treatment plan please.
Current recommended treatment plan is Lupron shots, either Abiraterone acetate along with Prednisone or
Enzalutamide
. Also have a consultation with the radiation oncologist scheduled for next week. Thoughts and opinion on treatment plan very much appreciated?

No more enzalutamide: docetaxel next up
So
enzalutamide
has stopped doing its thing. PSA up to 3.9 but it’s worked for 3.5 years. Also got a new lesion in my thoracic spine so in addition to docetaxel, a single dose of radiotherapy. Hope that will all be underway within a couple of weeks.

enzalutamide and amlodipine
"
enzalutamide
will decrease the effect of amlodipine by affecting hepatic/intestinal CYP3A4 metabolism "....i was prescribed amlodipine and noticed it was not effective in lowering blood pressure so this must be the reason. Would a different calcium channel blocker work?

Fenbendazole
He has been tinkering with different hormonal regimes, abiraterone and
enzalutamide
, without benefit, and has just progressed to start taking dexamethasone and is considering trying fenbendazole. I would be interested to hear of other peoples experience of fenbendazole ?

We could tell in advance if enzalutamide works on a patient: computational biology
hopefully it will be clinically tested soon ”For the study in Nature Communications, Mitrofanova's team developed computational algorithms to discover why the prostate cancer drug
enzalutamide
(sold under the brand name Xtandi) never works for some patients and why it eventually stops working in others

Dad's Next Treatment?
He is now receiving
Enzalutamide
/ Xtandi (just started 12 days ago) and I am not sure if it's the bone mets or the meds, but it has been so hard on him. He has lost 12+ kg in the last month, he sleeps his day away, and can't even walk in a straight line.

Phase 3 trial enrolling: MK-5684 Versus Alternative Abiraterone Acetate or Enzalutamide in participants with mCRPC
Previously Treated With Next-generation Hormonal Agent (NHA) and Taxane-based Chemotherapy...which would be the case for people that did the triplet. It's the "old" ODM-208 molecule! https://uvahealth.com/clinicaltrials/phase-3-randomized-open-label-study-mk-5684-versus-alternative-abiraterone-acetate

Does this mark the beginning of castration resistance?
Since May 2023, dad has been on monthly Degarelix (Firmagon) injections and on a regime of 160 mg of
Enzalutamide
daily (Xtandi). His PSA reached a nadir of 0.02 in March 2024. Most recent PSA in April 2024 showed an PSA increase to 0.03 with testosterone value of 0.41 ng/ml.

Testosterone was nearly back to normal, then dropped
I had a year of Lupron and
Enzalutamide
in 2022. Testosterone slowly came back to a high of about 240 in June and Sept 2023. Normal for me is around 350 - 375. Now this week T is down to 156. Is this sort of fluctuation normal?

Circulating Lipid Profiles Associated With Resistance to Androgen Deprivation Therapy in Localized Prostate Cancer
Experiment 2: Patient-derived tumor explants from RP (n = 105) were cultured in
enzalutamide
for 48 hours. Explant response to
enzalutamide
was evaluated against pre-RP plasma lipidomic profiles (n = 105) and prostate tissue lipidomic profiles (n = 36).

Orgovyx and enzalutamide
Can anyone tell me if Orgovyx and Xtandi are paid by Medicare Part B or the drug plan part D. If Part D, Is Wellcare a good plan to use?
