Beware of Lansoprazole
I had an
endoscopy
and it was discovered that I have multiple polyps in my stomach due to taking this drug long-term and now have to have them removed and also awaiting biopsy results. I was never told of this possible side-effect and am so angry. Please be careful.

Ovarian cancer recurrence
An
endoscopy
, PET scan and an
endoscopy
with ultrasound and biopsies since have confirmed that I have a 4cm tumour. How do you cope with recurrence? I'm left not knowing what they plan to do until the new year now. I feel angry, helpless and terrified all at the same time.

Consultant doesn’t feel it’s necessary to find cause of gastritis/gastropathy following endoscopy. Does this sound right?
At my follow up the consultant stated that the
endoscopy
/biopsies showed that I didn’t have celiac disease or H pylori infection.

Colon cancer symptoms but ended up being intestinal parasites.
I got my first colonoscopy and
endoscopy
at the age of 41. Everything came back clear. I was having a lot of mucus in my stool sometimes blood. Some black some red. When I had bowel movements, it always had the same smell.

He has suffered ‘Proctitis’ rectal bleeding since having radiotherapy 2019 and although complaining to Oncologist, GP, Gastroenterologist had
endoscopy

Advice for mum
They managed to stabilise her levels but she ended up having a massive internal bleed and needed an emergency
endoscopy
which the consultant put a DNR in place, obviously a very distressing time for her and us as a family which I think has left her incredibly worried that this could happen again, they

Has anybody had any experience with an endoscopy?
Saw the consultant in September and was impressed at how thorough she was regarding other problems running along side and said she wanted me to have an
endoscopy
. Now, over the years, I have had a number of operations without any worry. But, I am fretting over the
endoscopy

update on SIBO and antibiotics
Because I had his report I was able to persuade the gp to let me have the
endoscopy
and biopsies on the NHS. They suggested the private gastro (who also works for NHS-of course) could refer me for the breath test. Thankfully he did.

feelings of palpitations in torso and faint ..
I also get a dull ache in right leg and hip .. waiting for an
endoscopy
on NHS , I was concerned re stomach cancer after reading the concerns online and consultant agreed .. product called ‘symprove’ has been fantastic and stopped the diahorrea and bloating , not cheap but worth it .

Unbearable pain
I started taking Lansoprozole about a week ago following an
Endoscopy
and colonoscopy. Am on a twice daily dose of 15mg for GERD. Relieved to say that nothing suspicious has been found.I'm experiencing terrible chest and stomach pains and am spending a lot of my time sleeping to escape the pain.

Asthma and Reflux
I was diagnosed with a recorded oesophagus after undergoing an
endoscopy
and am now prescribed a PPI which reduces acid in the stomach but also has horrible side effects. So a bit of a vicious circle - is the Seretide causing the throat burn or is the reflux causing the throat burn.

What exclusionary tests should I ask my doctor for? IL-6 inflammation tests? + other random PMR questions
Last random questions: I recently decided to not get a colonoscopy/upper
endoscopy
to rule out GI issues because of the high cost (I live in the U.S.).

A lot of stuff going on. Qs.
MRI showed no varicies but doc mentioned an
endoscopy
(just in case but said unlikely) at a later date but now he's transferred to NHS there is no appointment until October.

sorry for all questions
Is there anything I should be asking should I ask for another
endoscopy
? The last one in March last year should very small well covered varices. Should I be asking when I should be looking for a transplant assessment. I’m chins purg A and MELD 46 ? From recent results.
