TSH going down instead of up with lowering of levothyroxine
I have had a complete gastro workup, including bloodwork, an
endoscopy
, and a CT scan but there is no diagnosis. I had some relief after being put on 40 mg a day of esomeprazole in December but now the malaise has returned.

New to cirrhosis, very scared!
I'm going to ask, when may he have an
endoscopy
to establish if he has varicies and/or ascites, what stage of cirrhosis, compensated or decompensated, does he get a biopsy, he should see a dietitian, he's had bloods done last week, his results from January's bloods were highlighted by an * beside them

Struggling today
Hi all, Had an
endoscopy
today as I have been having more and more issues with getting food stuck ( I have limited scleroderma). They couldn’t get a vein so had to have one without sedation and it was horrible.

Nervous about my upcoming 12 month review
I had a six month review and my bloods were all back to normal and my
endoscopy
showed two minor varicies. He was very pleased. Now it’s my 12 month review at the end of this month. I’ve had my bloods taken this week and my ultrasound scan.

Endoscopy

Only GGT elevated ?
My Ggt has come down to 100 from 179(had two glasses of red wine night before test, didnt know they were going to do my ggt level) all other blood work within range, except kidney function was a little off. endoscopic ultra sound showed no liver damage, three other ultrasounds, MRI, regular

Has this happened to anyone ?
They sent me for an emergency colonoscopy and
endoscopy
. Which both came back negative but I was positive for “microscopic colitis “ and hemorrhoids.

Acidity flare ups
Had
endoscopy
done in October 20 which came back all clear expect for h pylori infection. Did the triple therapy treatment for this. I have tested negative (stool test) 3 times in the last 1 year. So hopefully that is cleared.

Who's responsible
I have looked at the NICE guidelines and see that they have not been followed e.g. no discussion of the condition or its management, no indication of MELD score, no 6 monthly ultrasound, no
endoscopy
, no further bloods etc.

My son has just been diagnosed with decompensated liver disease.
The letter says he has an opd app to have
endoscopy
but he has not received an appointment. Should have had it last week. I only know what I have read on line. I am so scared that he is going to die soon. He is very quiet and weak And is so forgetful. I don't know what they have told him.

What might happen next?
She was throwing up blood regularly around 2 months ago and then had an
endoscopy
- they gave her beta blockers presumably to lower the risk of the oesophageal varices rupturing. I don't live at home anymore but my dad does and he keeps us up to date on how she's doing.

Advice on endoscopy
HI all - finally scheduled for an
endoscopy
the end of February. I have low levels of almost all micronutrients. Especially B12. Does anyone have any advice on this procedure? Thanks much as always.

Could cancer be diagnosed by doing a liquid biopsy? - study
Obtaining biopsy samples via needle,
endoscopy
or surgery can be painful and sometimes risky, and imaging methods such as MRI or PET scans require costly, bulky equipment that is not universally available.

Nausea and irritable bowel syndrome with pudendal neuralgia
I’ve seen a gastroenterologist and he’s done all sorts of tests -
endoscopy
, colonoscopy, ultrasound. But nothing to find what’s causing it. I’ve been on FODMAP diet for months now and whilst it seemed to help at first the nausea and irritable bowel returned.

Long term Ppi
Hi just a general question regarding the long term use of Omeprazole . I'VE had PAF since 2017 , an unsuccessful cryoablation in 2019 and am currently on the waiting list for a follow up RF ablation . My episodes are infrequent , reasonably mild and always self resolve within 12 hours. I've been on various

is portal hypertension always progressive or is it reversible.
I have ALD and cirrhosis and been diagnosed with portal hyprrtension and 2 grade 1 varices (last
endoscopy
about 6 months ago). Will this inevitably progress until I start to have bleeds or is there a way to halt it or reverse it.
