Esophagitus and throat discomfort
I recently had an
endoscopy
and revealed I had a haitus hernia (3cm) and mild esophagitus. The acid reflux has cleared up but I'm left with constant throat discomfort and sore throat sometimes too. I feel it's the esophagitus. Does anyone has any thoughts or advice as it's very wearing.

Update on my unusual body!
I had an
endoscopy
and I am now on tablets for gastritis, so at least other things have been ruled out, including the big C in the area covered by the procedure.

Varices Gone
I just had my yearly
endoscopy
to check on my varices. Prior to being put under I told the gi doctor I hope they are gone. She said it’s extremely unlikely. I said well I been praying for it and believe they are. I’m no holy roller but do have faith.

So I finally went to the GI doc
Due to my ongoing acid issues, she is also putting me on a trial of PPI for 2 months to see if it "heals" anything, and if after I stop taking it I continue to have issues, she will do
endoscopy
as well to check my esophagus.

No, rare Whipple’s disease isn't the underlying cause of my functional bowel problems (FGID) and other, all over the body symptoms.
However he's willing to do some additional examinations/test but no upper
endoscopy
of my small bowel or pcr test. That's why I ordered a PCR test for Whipple’s disease myself. Just trying to exclude possibilities (isn't that what the physicians should do?).

Surviving Esophageal Cancer: “I’ve kept my promise”
Prescription medication still didn’t help, and as I had never reported problems with heartburn or indigestion, he referred me for an
endoscopy
. I received confirmation of my appointment in August 2018 for 4 PM on Monday, October 8, 2018.

Hi, I'm still very much in that 'more questions than answers' phase regarding my health with a mix of thyroid, anaemia and perimenopause issues going on. Due to repeated low iron over many years, I'm thankful the NHS is now looking into the cause and I have a colonoscopy and gastroscopy arranged

Update
My mysterious bloating is evidently starting to concern my gastroenterologist, so I had a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
done about 3 weeks ago (no results yet), and I am due to have another MRI tomorrow morning.
