off to get the heart fixed
Got a call at 9pm last night from hospital to say your clotting factor is ok so you can go ahead and we are organising
enbrel
on compassionate grounds for when you get back. So I will be incommunicado for a few days until I get home again.

Access to biologics for brits in eu countries
If someone's on Humira or
Enbrel
in the UK, then goes to live in an EU country, can they continue with the treatment under the NHS or a reciprocal agreement? I've heard that the high cost of biologic drugs puts them out of reach in this situation. But is this true?

Refusing To Take Steroids
After another 9 months waiting for funding I was put on Humira, then I was put on
Enbrel
, then Tocilimab and then finally Abatacept. All of theses drugs, with the exception of Tocilimub, worked either very, very well to moderate relief.

Changing back Biologics
Took me three docs to find one that appears to know what he's doing and he put me on
Enbrel
and Metotrexate last July. I have not been doing well on this mixture and wonder if anyone had had any luck going back on Humira?

Anyone know rules for stopping injections when ill?
I am on Mtx and
Enbrel
. Should I give up injections? Normally my RA is well controlled. My GP is useless. On one occasion when I asked him this question he asked what medication I was on so he could look it up! He gave me 1 mg of pred when I was having a bad flair.

Hip update
Not sure I'm happy carrying on with
enbrel
as this is the third infection I've had within a short time and I've not been taking
enbrel
for very long either. Not saying enbrel's entirely to blame for these infections but it sure needs to be discussed with my rheumy.

What next??? :(
I ended up with a steroid injection & more xrays of hands & feet on Thursday, & now have to wait to see what else they can give me along with the
Enbrel
as it would seem that I have built up a resistance to it?

Humira
I started
Enbrel
after Christmas and didn't have stomach problems and it seemed to be helping ,but then I developed a rash on my neck and chest which I was told was an allergic reaction so I had to stop it. Worried that if I don't get on with
enbrel
there isn't much left to try.

Enbrel losing efficacy
I've been on
Enbrel
for almost 4 years in combination with 20mg subcut MTX. I have been having my first real flare up for the past 6 weeks or so and am waiting for an appointment with my Rheumy next week.

to take meds or not to take meds...
my level of pain is totally manageable - my primary reason for taking meds would be to make sure it doesn't get more serious... has anyone here gone on
enbrel
without trying Dmards? would you recommend it? What else can I do?

Tocilizumab
I have used
Enbrel
pens and Claxane syringes so I am not worried about giving myself injections. I had to chase up the delivery of
Enbrel
pens and the nurses visit when I first started the
Enbrel
injections, which is why I am concerned about how long everything takes.

Feelings of defeat
I tried
Enbrel
first with great results was in remission for a year before my lymph node in my neck swelled up to the size on a golf ball. I had surgery to remove it and had to stop the
Enbrel
to solve the problem. Then we tried Humira for a year and a half with no luck.

Healthcare at Home dumped - hurrah!
Having had major problem with Healthcare at Home delivering my
Enbrel
over the last year I was informed by my consultant last November that my health authority (Sheffield) were so fed up with the poor service being provided by H@H they were looking for an alternative delivery service.

Enbrel reaction
I rang my home care nurse this morning and she said I can't have anymore
Enbrel
until I've seen a specialist nurse as it may cause a far worse reaction. She said I'll most likely have to stop taking it.
