New scary symptom.
Last night I experienced my fisrt brain seizure? I put a question mark because I have never had one in my life before. It was scary and I couldn't see out of my right eye. I only saw white star bursts and my brain hurt really bad afterwards. I really don't know what is happening with me However I'm

Driving licence. What to put in application?
Hi, When i was 15 I was diagnosed in another country to have epilepsy. I took pills for 2 years then doctor decided its time to stop. And there was no complication. Now 2 years ago another probably epileptic episode happened (20 years after first one). Felt little confused, forgot some stuff like names

Are EEGs a useful autonomic diagnostic tool?
I'm scheduled to have an EEG because of a car accident, but I am wondering if there's any possibility that it will help get to the bottom of an odd oxygen saturation percent problem which is so intermittent that it can't be predicted (so scheduling testing for when it is happening is impossible) and

Please help
I've been diagnosed with epilepsy in July and started on epilim 500 twice a day. I'm now on 800 a day and still having seizures. Every time I go see the doctor they just increase my dose. My ct scan and eeg came back normal. I don't know what to do anymore. Feeling helpless and alone. Please ANYONE

Xeralto Causing Seizures With APS?
Hello. I happened upon this site because my 19 year old was diagnosed with APS and a genetic blood mutation when he was 16. It's been such a relief just to read about other people's experiences. My son was originally on warfarin and then after about 9 months, we tried Xeralto so we could avoid the monthly

Got diagnosed with EDS but my current neurologist doesn't believe it- anyone else with an abnormal EEG and cognitive impairment?
Hello forum world for people with too many issues to fit on an A4 paper! I'm new here.. but not sure if I'll be staying :/ So I've been struggling with cognitive impairment for 2 years now. It started out with loss of notion of time and memory loss with a weird neck/head pain that they called tension

EEG- not feeling right
Hi I know this isn't especially thyroid related but I had an EEG this morning following my collapse episodes. It made me incredibly drowsy and my body feels like lead so heavy and tired. I actually had to take a nap when my toddler did- not much improvement now. Seen in forums those with epilepsy had

My dad had a reconstruction done on left foot a couple weeks ago. He went to the the local hospital on last Thursday 10/13 because he was running fever and in pain. His foot doctor decided to remove the metal on his leg because he was afraid of infection that took only 15 mins. Scariest day of my life

I am new here and have a 37 year old son who is in hospital recovering from hypoxia
Hi my name is Helen and 32 days ago my son had an accident which then led to a heart attack unfortunately by the time he was found and resuscitated there was some brain damage. He was placed in a medically induced coma for 5 days and were told that he would probably not make it. Once they woke him

You have the ability to recover
Hi Everyone, this is the first time I have spoken about my epilepsy and I hope this will give you all the hope to recover from your epilepsy without having to rely on pills. The first time I had a seizure was when I was 17 and my Doctor decided to give me pills to treat my epilepsy but I seem to notice

myoclonus
Does anyone here have myoclonic jerking, shaking (stronger than tremors) weakness in legs, freezing when starting to walk or when having to step over something like a thresh hold, trouble speaking at times? This isn't just once in a while, it is almost constant during the day. Head almost always has

Hello everyone, Jules here. I have been reading through the posts from my group of friends on the forum, I want to chat but wanted to update you as to what has been happening to me the last few days. You were all right with your advice, I should have gone to A&E as when I went for the bloods the GP sent

EEG
Good morning everyone, Tomorrow I have got to go to Kings College hospital for an EEG, following the second seizure I had in June. The consultant I saw said it may not have been one, but due to the area if my injury I am at a higher risk of them. So this test will maybe show something. The reason I'm
