Mucuna Pruriens
I recently started giving Mucuna Pruriens to my wife hoping to start reducing her usual
dopamine
medication and replace this with the natural L-Dopa that Mucuna has as this should have far less side effects.

Frustrated by People
I engage with the two receptionist/schedulers; with fun small talk and my extroverted personality jumps out; we joke and laugh, I get some
dopamine
and endorphins. Then I catch the eyes, one of the receptionists is looking off to the side, I don't see anyone.

Interesting Information in an Article in the Washington Post
“They don’t produce
dopamine

dopamine

Negative levodopa
As a treatment, if it works, it would mean creating a small amount of stress to reduce
dopamine
levels. Perhaps it could be something as simple as putting your fingers in a bowl of iced water. I would appreciate some guidance as to the ethics of this approach.

Getting the correct treatment
She is calling me on Thursday (20th Oct 2022) I have now read the advice on this website which seems to be coming down heavily against
dopamine
agonists in favour of gabapentin and pregabalin - at least initially.

Role of the adrenals in my tremor and dopamine deficiency
Firstly, I definitely have a
dopamine
deficiency because my dexterity can return to perfect for the small windows provided by dosing with levodopa. I was diagnosed with essential tremor about 8 years before I started taking mucuna and C/L for a
dopamine
deficiency.

Stimulants for RLS?
An idle thought - could stimulants, specifically
dopamine
reuptake inhibitors (like Ritalin, Adderall, Vyvanse) treat the symptoms of RLS? Intuitively I would think yes, given that
dopamine
agonists are widely used for RLS.

A question about ashwagandha?
I am concerned about any herb that could suppress
dopamine
, does the statement below mean that
dopamine
is also reduced which is not good effect for PD? I know many folks with and without PD taking this herb for anxiety, stress etc.

Is it important to keep an eye on copper/zinc levels if you take iron supplements
Your body needs
dopamine
to keep energy up, maintain a happy mood and outlook, and help with focus.

My visit to the Neurologist in the UK
She said that the
dopamine
agonists had been effective over the last two years even if they have stopped being effective now. When I mentioned the Mayo clinic algorithm she totally ignored it.

Dividing the dose
There was a talk about
dopamine
levels and tolerance. How to avoid this by intermittent dosing. How the brain responds more strongly to surprise levels of
dopamine
. I've been trying this by dividing the dose of 3 madopar every 4 hours into 2s and 1s.

Existential RLS crisis
We have some theories when it comes to iron and
dopamine
. But the research is still inconclusive. After reading through the years of posts it feels like every different receptor or transmitter the brain has to offer has at some point been the culprit or savior of someones RLS journey.

Big, big trouble Houston
Then did press ups but after 20 realised I’d somehow burnt up my morning
dopamine
. Wow. Astonished how weak I feel. My plan: try again tomorrow, do some juicing. Anybody ever found themselves in similar position? Thanks in advance and if you’re a believer, say one for yours truly 🙏😊
