Life expectancy after docetaxel
I know two men who had some number of
docetaxel
infusions. Both men died. Is
docetaxel
simply a hail mary or does it improve quality of life or longevity? Statistics only please, no opinions. (I am not a chemo candidate at this time but this question has been on my mind a lot.) Thanks

Thoughts on vacation and PSA
As context, I'm just finishing 12 months ADT+Nubeqa and last fall I finished 6 months
docetaxel
and SBRT to a suspect vertebrae and rib. PSA was 0.8 with 4-month doubling at BCR when I started all the above.

What can I expect from chemo?
I will be starting
Docetaxel
(Taxotere) near the end of the month. PC has become castrate resistant and oncologist says I should not wait for a trial of LU 177 that does not require prior chemo since it is unsure when it will start and has had a few delays already.

Low WBC during Docetaxel chemo
My dad currelty had his seccond round of chemo and blood work values are low: WBC is 2.5 10^3/uL HBT 111 g/l HCT 34.6 % What we can do to help with increasing the WBC. Which medication we can take / supplements. I would really appretiate the suggestions. If you are interested in my fathers story

Cancer care in the Philippines
The doctors are recommending
Docetaxel
and Hertraz. What are the options for her? My friend has sent her some money, but can't afford to finance her whole course of treatment. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Questions About Scans and Lymph Node
He competed the 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
in June and in August, his MO ordered an FDG PET Scan to see where things stood. He did not order a PSMA PET at this point either because with my husband's PSA being undetectable, it was not advised. The FDG PET was the alternative I suppose.

Docetaxol completed with drop in PSA
I had my last infusion on December 2nd. My oncologist and I decided mutually that I could skip my last one scheduled during the holidays. I have had many side effects from the drug and felt pretty miserable between Labor Day and Christmas. Many side effects have slowly cleared but I am left with some

PSA bump
I completed my 6th chemo with
docetaxel
on Sept 19. I’m on lupron and started Zytiga but it impacted my liver so I stopped Zytiga for now until my liver gets better. My next lupron injection is next Tuesday Oct 4.

Novartis Pluvicto financial aid? Company insurance so-so self insured crud. Also, do enlarged pelvic lymph nodes still qualify you for it?
Age then, 54 (Born 1961) now going on 62 with still slow progression, but not liking
docetaxel
side effects. Want A vacation with Pluvicto before starting Cazabitaxel, hope I can qualify.

Abiraterone/enzalutamide+PARP inhibitor better than abiraterone/enzalutamide alone for mCRPC, even without BRCA+
My guess is that these men will probably also do well with a taxane chemo (
docetaxel
or cabazitaxel)+ carboplatin +abiraterone/enzalutamide. The FDA is expected to approve the combination next month.

Monitoring Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)
In June, before starting
Docetaxel
, his PSA was 99 and LDH 342.
Docetaxel
4 is due today - his PSA is 414 and LDH 1250. If you look at papers on LDH, it seems to have a role in PCa development. If something does not affect the treatment choice, it is not monitored.

Cabazitaxel update and variations of PSA
Hi all, those who have followed my husband's history will know that
Docetaxel
did not work for him although the MO insisted on 4 infusions. Cabazitaxel was given on 10 Sept (nearest PSA was 468 on 2 Sept in London).

Cabazitaxel first infusion on Saturday
For those who have been following my husband's progress,
Docetaxel
has not worked for him at all. The NHS pushed for 4 infusions although we were requesting to change to Cabazitaxel after two. PSA rose from 99 pre-chemo to 468 now and LDH from 342 to 1373. ALP modestly increased to 130.

Sequence of treatments
Given my husband's post Enzalutamide
Docetaxel
treatment and the lack of a great response (so far), I had a look around for sequencing to see if
Docetaxel
might have been more effective before giving Enzalutamide.

Need help finding studies
And then the doc’s post-visit notes recommended Zytiga or to consider treatment with
Docetaxel
, or a bunch of other meds… all the stuff we had asked about but he had said wasn’t appropriate when we were in the office with him. (Argh.)

Pluvicto / Locametz in the Rocky Mountains yet?
Chemo with
Docetaxel
since Aug 2021, possibly starting to fail. Wanting the new Locametz / Pluvicto treatment before starting Cazabitaxel, but availability in the SLC / DEN area non-existant yet. Huntsman Cancer institute hopes to have it sometime in this fall, but no date given.
