2nd Laparoscopy

My discharge letter
At the end of the procedure she had
diathermy
to the endometriosis and had marina fitted. The treatment she has had should control her endometriosis and her dyspareunia.

They also talked about ablation/
diathermy
, which I understand from other groups like [this post has been edited in line with Endometriosis UK's code of conduct] is not as effective as excision surgery.

Tiredness after laparoscopy
I had a laparoscopy 7 weeks ago to drain an endometrioma and
diathermy
. Is it normal to still feel extremely tired? I've had my bloods checked and I'm mildly anaemic. I've been taking iron tablets and increased my red meat and vegetable intake but so far I'm not feeling the benefit.

Unclear outcome from lap
He said he ‘blasted away’ all the endometriosis he could find, which I think he was referring to using
diathermy
, which I have discovered seems similar to ablation... much of the research on which deems it not very useful due to rates of regrowth?

Rectovaginal Endometriosis
I am back on the list for another laparoscopy but he has said that instead of
diathermy
he will be going down the route of excision but has explained there can be more complications when it involves your bowel/rectum area. Has anyone had this sort of excision?

Recovery after laparoscopy and diathermy of endometriosis
Hi almost 3months ago I had keyhole surgery to remove endometriosis from my pelvis and bowel....my gp told me I should be fully recovered but my stomach has not felt the same. I'm constantly bloated and I feel like something is being stretched inside if I try and do any physical exercise. I used to be

Cystitis Cystica??
Several cysts were found so my surgeon carried out a biopsy and
diathermy
. Jus had my follow up the other day and fortunately nothing cancerous going on and no Endo inside the bladder but I’ve been diagnosed with Cystitis Cystica! There’s no cure like Endo 🙄.

Watery Discharge
I then got
diathermy
/LEEP to remove the ectropions, and my doctor said to stop taking the pill as the estrogen imbalance could be making the ectropions, so I did. I had my leep 7 weeks ago and it was seeming as if it had worked but literally in the last 6 days or so, watery discharge again.

Treatment or what to do
So basically I had a lap and
diathermy
in 2006 and then 6 months of zoladex, then in 2008 I had a further lap and excision, and they left a litre of adept in as I think things were sticking, I also had the mirera put in and started in six months of zoladex.

Endometriosis and adenomyosis
I have had 6/7 surgical laps and
diathermy
to remove the endo, have tried the contraceptive pill, decapeptyl injections. I had a Mirena coil inserted last year following 6 months of decepaptyl.....since then my symptoms have returned as they do.

Laparoscopy with diathermy to endo
Hi I recently (last Tuesday) had a hysteria copy and laparoscopy with dye test plus
diathermy
to widespread stage 2 endo with pelvic washout and cervical cautery. Started having vaginal bleeding today, not heavy, is this normal?

Does endo have to be severe for organs to become stuck?
What I’m really confused about is a few things he told me it was very minor endo that they had found and they managed to fix it all with
diathermy
, that my pelvis was stuck but they managed to unstick it (he didn’t tell me where it was stuck so I have no idea, the pelvic area is pretty big) he didn’t

Laparoscopy surgery advice re stomach swelling as day goes on
I had an emergency laparoscopy which resulted in removal of scar tissue and
diathermy
to endometriosis. I had three weeks off work to recover and have returned this week. As the day goes on my stomach swells up and is very painful, I am already taking lactulose, is this normal?

Treatment that doesn’t stop you ttc?
She said after my lap/hysteroscopy/cystectomy and
diathermy
I should be good for a year before it becomes problematic again.

First period after lap
I had my procedure (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy with
diathermy
and cystectomy) on the 29th of January, bled really lightly for a few days and then stopped and then my actual period started 2 and a half weeks ago.
