Disclosing CKD
When I
dialysis
I will be referred for Kidney Transplant. I don’t know if I have to disclose this information to my employer. Do I keep it to myself? Do I let my supervisor know? I am worried about how it will affect my employment, I have been employed for over 13 yr. now.

Pain period!
I need words of encouragement because I'm going to "school" again for my treatment(
dialysis
) I'm in alot of pain right now! Everywhere Arggghhh! Help me! I just need help to help lift my spirits up! I'm having these voices in my head "I should go or don't go!" I'm always tired most of the time.

First Appointment Today
I’m worried if I go into Stage 4 I’ll have to have
dialysis
. Does anyone think I can control this with a strict diet and lowering BP? I guess I’ll have to ask the doctor these questions. Any feedback you have for me is welcome! Thank you for reading my post. God Bless you all 😇

Peritoneal Dialysis
My husband and I are training to do PD. He had the permanent catheter implanted and it is working fine. Someone recommended that he should get a fistula in his arm as a backup. Is that usually done?

GFR and Potassium
I was told that if I have to go on
dialysis
before receiving a kidney it could cause complications with the donation or cause the kidney to last less longer, does anyone have experience with this ?

Introduction
Removing it could cause me to have to have
dialysis
for the rest of my life so I am content to watch it for now. Have a multitude of other problems but kidney function is still good and I am living a good life. Last CT scan revealed a cyst also on my kidney, but God is good!!

Seen a great Nephrologist today
Doctor said I can live for many years even without
dialysis
if I keep myself healthy. He recommended the following for now and ordered more labs to make sure all labs are in line: 1. Keep Blood Pressure to 120/80 - I’ll be keeping a log for a week to check if my BP is controlled.

My Journey along
My husband died a terrible death from kidney failure and had we known the supposed reason(medication for acid reflux) we could have change things somewhat but it was too late...He was too old for transplant and health wise couldn't stand
dialysis
so had to watch him die..If I could help at least one

About a year later he was diagnosed with Denys-Drash syndrome and was started on peritoneal
dialysis
. He was on PD for about 2 years and received his transplant from a living donor last October. He is 11 months post transplant and I am grateful to God to be able to say is doing great.

Acceptance!
There are still day that I don't wanna go to
dialysis
because everything is new to me & sometimes its hard to take everything in. At first the word "
dialysis
" scared the hell out of me because I don't know much about it. And now that I'm getting to know about the procedure I'm only scared a bit.
