It's official! Update on transplant!
Despite only being on
dialysis
for 11 months, it's been quite the rollercoaster and there were a few times we had to ponder the possibility of me going back to hemo from PD.

Excited to have found support!
It is so hard to see him go thru
dialysis
among everything else he has had to go thru. He is strong and handling it better than I am. I know it's not about me, but would love to hear from other parents who have children or young adults going thru this.

I’m new
Do you think the doctor will recommend
dialysis
or hospice? I know no one here is a doctor but I’m struggling right now.

Pain, pain go away!
I go to
dialysis
3 times a week for 3-4 hours or so. Then I had a pneumonia shot making it even worse. I'm in so much pain both arms. Sometimes I'm thinking how long I could still hold on this challenging trials on me? Its too much just thinking about it within my age, I'm on my late 30's.

Introduction!
I I was on
dialysis
(hemodialysis and peritoneal
dialysis
) briefly before my first transplant four months later. Four months after that, my transplanted kidney was removed because of a neurofibroma growing on it. I was back on
dialysis
for another year, waiting for a kidney.

Can you get dialysis with no money
I am get very close to the stage where I will need
dialysis
. I am about to lose my job and insurance. Will I be able to have
dialysis
when I have no way to pay for it or do I just have to slowly die. Don’t mean to sound morbid but I really would like to know what happens to people like me. Thanks

Any advice on coping with Peritoneal
Dialysis
would be appreciated. Interested in whether I may feel 'healthier', or whether there is no real change.

is starting to make want to consider Pd, but my living situation dosen't really allow for it! The stress is just getting to me. Im so upset, confused, angry, emotional, and depressed!

Salty Behavior
I have been on
dialysis
for over 10 years and I still crave salt. I eat small amounts of straight salt throughout the day. I have talked to doctors and they act like its no big deal. That its just a behavior that I can stop. I didn't do it before I had kidney failure.

Fatigue
3rd mth into
dialysis
. Last few sessions have really felt the fatigue issues, to the point of barely being able to function. I know is normal response to treatment. Does it get any better? Labs are fair.

My big brother
He was then put on to a
dialysis
machine to take over from his kidneys. John started to make little signs of progress. The gave him a procedure to move the life support tube from going in through his mouth to going in through his windpipe.

Minimizing the end.
Id like to stop
dialysis
. Will they put me into a medically induced coma if i request it so i dont have to suffer thru hi potassium problems like heart attacks. Or will they make me wait until i naturally slip into a coma?
