6 months post ablation and off Eliquis - occasional pint.
It's been almost a month after six months post ablation that I don't take Eliquis. (Stopped Metoprolol and Flecanaide 30 days after ablation). The only condition is that I regularly check my blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose that would change my score since I am over 65. My EP says that eventually

Advice
Hello I’m hoping someone can advise me on my current situation. I’ve been diagnosed with hypothyroidism two years ago and have put most symptoms down to this. Although a few symptoms have flagged up which I thought might not be related? I take my glucose levels in the morning as I have been waking extremely

And so it begins ....
Hi all, I went for a routine MOT at the gym, this highlighted that I was as fit as I had hoped due to running at least 2 times a week. Good blood pressure, low glucose, excellent resting heartbeat..... then came the cholesterol check, the machine simply said 'HI' (nice and polite I thought). subsequently

Preds and diabetes 2.
Had appt with diabetes nurse today. Good news bp ok but glucose levels 93 (11) After flare up 2 months ago I've reduced from 20mcg to 17mcg pred. Have agreed to see Endocrinologist but there's a long wait for appt. Tomorrow I'll start reducing carbs and hopefully this will help - don't want to

Sugar & Cancer ... again.
After responding to a sugar thread & denying that sugar feeds cancer, I had to chuckle when, a few days later, someone repeated the myth. It's a bit pointless chopping off a hydra head when a hundred more appear on the Internet every day. One would need to be a Heracles to kill the monster. I was

Levothyroxine therapy and impaired clearance are the strongest contributors to small intestinal bacterial overgrowth
Given the prevalence of gut issues reported here, often (but not always) in those taking levothyroxine, I hope the existence of this paper helps. At least it is something to quote! Very interesting to know how adding liothyronine (T3) - or liothyronine-only - would be assessed. [i]World J Gastroenterol
