Rytary for DBS
I'd like to know if anyone who had a successful
DBS
is using Rytary. I have not found any indication that it has been tested in
DBS
patients. Any info about that would be appreciated.

He has had
DBS
surgery in 2007 and just had batteries replaced for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago. I am at a loss as to how to help him, for up to this point he has stayed basically active, but the new doc says "maybe he should stay home more"" at his age and how long he has had PD.

Does anyone know why Lactulose is not recommended for IBS sufferers?
Hi, I've just been reading the NICE guidelines for IBS and came across this: "Laxatives should be considered for the treatment of constipation in people with IBS, but people should be discouraged from taking lactulose. [2008]" Does anyone know why this is? The reason I ask is I've suffered from chronic

Deep brain stimulation surgery
my doctor said that I would be a good candidate for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. I am very hesitant to do this. Hoping I could hear from some of yo who has actually had the procedure. Or maybe some one you know very close to you that has had it. Hope you can help me. Deanna ( kachimom@comline.com

Activa remote error code 006
We are abroad in Majorca and my husband's
DBS
Activa remote is showing code 006 and we can't use . This is devastating because the only way my husband can walk distances is by switching it off. It's also weekend and we can't phone our PD nurse and nobody in the hospital can help.

Colofac or Buscopan ?
Which do you find helps with your IBS cramps & pains the best, I am not sure either helps me, I think peppermint oil sometimes takes the edge of it a bit.

Drained and losing weight
Hi hope your all well. Its just a query to see if anyone else has experienced what is going on with me at moment. I have had diarrhoea now for 3 and a half weeks, at first I was obviously told to stop taking lactulose, to see if it would clear up, it didn't. I have had my bloods done and also given

Recumbent trike
Since my
Dbs
success I've been hitting the gym 3x weekly. I actually gained 30 lbs but unfortunately it's been 50/50 muscle:fat according to my bmi scale. I just haven't been able to walk enough to keep the fat down. Today I purchased a Catrike, a recumbent trike.
