Diagnosis?
Now after covid in Sept 2023, I have developed atrial fibrillations which I never had and I also had a painful UTI, which morphed into interstititial
cystitis
, also known as painful bladder syndrome. I have heard that you can still have sjogrens despite negative blood tests.

Not exactly PMR but advice please about post menopausal dryness.
Since I was diagnosed with PMR in 2017 I have had frequent episodes of
cystitis
requiring antibiotic treatment. These seemed to be made worse by the Calcium and vitamin supplement I was prescribed so I stopped taking it.

Perhaps an odd question! As well as thyroid disease I have a long history of Chronic UTI and high alkaline urine. I suspect a link! The C-uti has been treated, with minimal success , with various prophylactic and treatment doses of antibiotics. It flares up frequently. Previously I've tried

does anyone have interstitial cystitis?
I have been experiencing pain when peeing for coming up to a year now. I have got my urine tested probably over 8 times over the past year. Every time it comes back clear, or they tell me to take an antibiotic and then send my urine off to the lab but then it comes back normal. I feel a ripping, burning

Hi, I am suffering from severe bladder pain and my diagnosis is interstitial
cystitis

Right Sided pelvic pain
My fibromyalgia is alot worse and so is the interstital
cystitis
. A recent CT scan showed a 3.5cm mass. GP ordered a MRI to confirm if benign and the results where a probable implanted device left in from patients previous hysterectomy.

Advice please
Hi, I am due to have a hysterectomy in October. Ovaries are going too and there's a strong chance of bowel resection due to recto sigmoid endometriosis. If anyone has any advice for recovery or can share their experience I would be grateful. Thank you Aimee

Genetic test results.
Got my results from BlueHorizon back today. Not sure what to make of them, not what I expected. Trying to get my head around the amount of info, some of it seems a bit conflicting. They are displayed with RAG rating and then some text, on thyroid genes there are 10 ratings , there are 2 green, 7

Interstitial Cystitis with negative biopsy?
Hi everyone, I had a cystoscopy done during a surgery for endometriosis under general and the report says 'petichiae seen on double fill' and a question of Interstitial
Cystitis
. They took a biopsy and that shows 'a few scattered mast cells' but reports 'negative for significant inflammation'.

I figured out how to tolerate antibiotics (trimethoprim in this case) without huge neuropathic pain flare!! (for real this time!)
I've been posting about this on and off all year trying to get some answers. Anyway, I'll keep it short. I've been unable to tolerate Trimethoprim or Doxycycline without the both causing unbearable neuropathic pain (burning, stinging, tingling, etc). I tried multiple times and failed to continue after

After 2 yes and a taper to half a mg daily, now have infections and started a full flare up
Treated with antibiotics, but then got
cystitis
which is currently being treated with another week of different antibiotics! Did some shopping yesterday and after carrying bags to car, had lots of pain in arms. Hips and knee pains followed, so now realise this is full PMR flare!

2 mirena coils for Adenomyosis?
had my laparoscopy last week. They couldn't find endo but did say I had a globular uterus, which is indicative of Adenomyosis. I'm not surprised as all the symptoms fit. I literally opened my eyes from the ga and the findings were explained. I didn't take a lot of it in but they did mention about having

Sulfasalazine and recent wee colour change back to normal
I went to GP yesterday who said I very likely had
cystitis
and was given a 3 day course of the antibiotic Nitrofurantoin. . I did a sample to be sent off. GP said "Good, it's a normal colour. Wait three or four days and if you hear nothing, no news is good news, and likely
cystitis
."

I wonder if I could have interstitial
cystitis
? The last uti was pretty bad and always returned as soon as I finished antibiotics. I've also had some urge incontinence. Getting very fed up with it. Any suggestions?
