Menopause and Endo
Hi, since having a Caesarean section 24 years ago, I have suffered from painful adhesions. I had 2 laparoscopies in that time, and on both occasions no Endo was found. 4 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had a mastectomy and reconstruction, which meant more surgery on my stomach, more scarring

Hi all, I finally have a surgery date to get rid of my ovarian cyst! I’m very pleased, as it’s 8.6cm and making daily life painful to navigate. They’ve also said they’ll look for and treat any endo they find (still hoping to be diagnosed) while they’re in there. I’ve got two weeks to prepare, any advice

I had a endometrioma
cystectomy
, endo was found in other areas including pouch of Douglas. This was ablated not excised. I can’t remember what stage my consultant said it was but in between stages, maybe 2-3?

Cystectomy
Hi all, I’m having a
cystectomy
in a couple of weeks time to remove endometriomas from both ovaries. Was just wondering if anyone knew the recovery time for this operation? I’m still working from home at the moment so assume I could be working again after a couple of days? Thanks, Sarah

Mastectomy
Hello all, I'm new here and have found reading your posts very helpful. Thank you. I'm about to have my last cycle of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with HER2+ cancer. I have a tumour and cancer cells so the surgeon is advising a full mastectomy. I'm trying to make a decision about whether to have

My daughter with stage 4 but oligometastatic is having single mastectomy dec 2. Says she is not worried about surgery. Is completely unraveled as my husband says. Two kids 18 months and 5. Good husband. Made them all move to huge rental and sell current home because she said gives her ptsd about chemo

More surgery for an ovary that isn’t there
Over a year and a half since my hysterectomy and I’ve just been given a consent form for an oopherctomy with tube removal or
cystectomy
. Only I’m not supposed to have any ovaries or tubes :( there’s a cyst growing from somewhere and ever though I’ve had all the scans they still can’t tell where.

Moving need help finding a new oncologist
I have been reading this site for a while, but this is my first post. I was diagnosed with BC in 2013, had a mastectomy and reconstruction in 2014. I did not have any chemo or radiation. In June of 2019 I found a lump on my head that was diagnosed as metastatic breast cancer. A scan showed a few spots

Post surgery
Hi. Had my bilateral mastectomy last week. Was told it went well but the surgeon wasn't sharing much, maybe it was the drugs I was on post surgery and I'm not recalling much! Waiting on pathology report to see how many lymph nodes had cancer and decide on chemo protocol. Pain is not too bad but I am

One year post mastectomy.
Well one year is arriving. This time last time year I saw my consultant with the results of a second biopsy. I had already decided on a mastectomy and had accepted a date at the time of first biopsy confirmation of Grade 2 breast cancer. The second biopsy also was confirmed cancer and was told I needed

Breast cancer survivor of 32 years
I just wanted to offer hope to others after receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer. I was diagnosed 32 years ago when I was 39. I had a mastectomy and have been lopsided ever since!! But I'm here. I've seen my children grow up and watched then have children of their own. I even delivered my grandson.

About to try Zoladex for pain. Does it work? What can i expect?
Lots of adhesions from surgical procedures including ectopic pregnancy with rupture, tubal ligation gone wrong (subsequent removal of broken tube and clip),
cystectomy
x2, vaginal hysterectomy. 1 week ago confirmed extensive endometriosis. I'm in so much pain and hope this zoladex can help me.
