I DID IT!!!!!
As I went through university, swimming decreased, dancing decreased, then I got a car and stopped
cycling
, and before I knew it, I was firmly in the "sedentary" category...

I'm new, having flare up, any ideas?
I’ve had asthma all my life but it has been extremely well controlled for most of my life, allowing me to do some pretty intense
cycling
events etc and not need my blue inhaler at all. I’m 28 now and am in the middle of what seems to be a flare up of sorts.

Chronic ezcema on soles of feet
It is getting me down because I can’t do my usual exercise of
cycling
or walking and as I have an autoimmune condition, I really want to try to stay fit and exercise to keep healthy. I’m currently on a treatment plan having finally been referred to a dermatologist at the start of December.

W7 R1 : Jo Whiley needs to wind her watch up.
It seemed to be manageable while swimming, my principal sport, and during rugby,
cycling
, squash, golf, weights, gym etc.... but really knocks my running. Feels like I am running with a children's' toy wigwam erected in my innards.

Ablation - pros and cons...
(I do a lot of exercise, but
cycling
rather than running these days - I've only ever had one attack after
cycling

For USA
Cycling
National Champion Dotsie Bausch, switching to a plant-based diet helped speed up recovery time after a workout. At 40-years-old, Dotsie won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics and she remains the oldest person (male or female) to go to the Olympics in her event.

Week 9 Run 2 done, just the one to go!!!
Felt a little apprehensive beforehand as I hadn't run since last Wednesday (although I have been
cycling
), my calves were still aching from traipsing around Edinburgh and I had a sore throat.

A good story to share!
So she starts to do more exercise like 5km-8km running,
cycling
and yoga. She always has healthy diet habit. At age of 42, one day her husband asked her how come you seem like you have gained some weight. First month of pregnancy, she was bleeding, so she thought she got her period.

Week Seven Done, But It's Been a Time
Although the
cycling
has been useful, I don't really enjoy it. It doesn't give the buzz, for me, that running does. I tolerate the
cycling
, but I just love the freedom of running - the just getting out there and doing it. So I'm really keen to be running, but in a way that doesn't cause injury.

Revising my strategy.
Might have to switch back to
cycling
for a while longer! I'm not sure I can stand going through that feeling of losing fitness again through injury lol. :)

my two year old daughter, luckily I have an electric bike.) I was doing well on WPThyroid 2 grains, I went down to 1 grain when I was on the AIP diet. But I'm finding it hard to go grain free and dairy free, let alone all the other extras that the AIP diet excludes.

Side benefits!
As I trotted upstairs to get my
cycling
gear, ( rest day today) I suddenly thought if there is Mapmyrun there must be… YES! Mapmyride! I have killed at least four cycle computers and given upon them -problem solved, fresh new focus on rest days!

Just done first run of Week Two of Couch to 5kw
Perhaps my previous
cycling
is giving me a head start. Not really starting from the actual couch. Hope it’s not cheating. 😊

Running on holiday
My first one was in sunny Santiago, Chile, I ran along the river with lots of other Chileans out walking, jogging and
cycling
... maybe sounds daft but I really felt like a proper runner type! Hope everyone is enjoying their running journeys... keep it up!

Lung clearance
Immediately after my diagnosis of Bronchiectasis I was referred to a respiratory physio, who taught me Active
Cycling
Breathing. He suggested this twice a day for approx 20 mins and it would get rid of the 'gunk'. However, no matter how many times I try this it just doesn't work.

Stress and mental health
To cut a long story short, I was diagnosed with PTSD back in May after a
cycling
accident last October, I had some CBT treatment which greatly exacerbated the issues, and I was struggling to cope, so was put on antidepressants.

Dilemma
The problem I have is that I want to be able to go back to
cycling
and maybe racing over the next few years as for me this is a normal life.
